What is happening?
TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS THE FIRS, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on The Firs commencing from its junction with Kenilworth Road to its junction with Earlsdon Avenue South.
The Order will come into effect from 00:01 hours on Wednesday 31st July 2024 and is required to enable Severn Trent Water to renew water connections safely on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Thursday 8th August 2024.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works;
(d) local vehicular access to The Firs
Any vehicle waiting in contravention of any restriction imposed by the Order may be removed under the provisions of the Removal and Disposal of Vehicles Regulations 1986.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS HOLMES DRIVE, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Holmes Drive for its full length.
The Order will come into effect on Monday 29th July 2024 and is required to allow Severn Trent to carry out water connections renewals safely on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by Friday 9th August 2024.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.
Diversion(s) for vehicular traffic will be as signed on site.

(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS GRANGE ROAD, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Grange Road between its junctions with Ansell Drive and Anderton Road
The Order will come into effect from 09:30 hours on Monday 22nd July 2024 and is required for facilitate communication pipe works on the highway to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 18:00 hours on 6th August 2024.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the execution of the said works

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering, proceeding along Burnaby Road at its junction with Yelverton Road
The Order will come into effect from 09:30 hours on Monday 22nd July 2024 and is required for facilitate communication pipe works on the highway to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works will be completed by 18:00 hours on Thursday 30th July 2024.
The specific closure times will apply as the signage indicates on site.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS GREYFRIARS LANE AND HIGH STREET, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on the lengths of road set out in the Schedule below.
The Order would come into effect from 0700 hours on 22 July 2024 is required to allow for unexpected events and possible remedial works, or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by 13 September 2024.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Cook Street.
The Order would come into effect from Friday 26th July 2024 is required to enable building demolition to be carried out safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Sunday 28th July 2024.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Berwyn Avenue.
The Order would come into effect from Monday 22 July 2024 is required to enable new supply works to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Wednesday 31 July 2024.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), has made a temporary Order, the effect of the Order will prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Dunchurch Highway.
The Order would come into effect from Monday 22 July 2024 is required to enable telecoms rigging work to take place safely.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Wednesday 31 July 2024.
Exemptions will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or civil enforcement officer in uniform;

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS REGGAE FEVER 2024
Coventry City Council (“the Council”), under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, has made a temporary Order to enable the Reggae Fever Parade 2024 to take place safely (“the Event”).
The Order will take effect from 08.00 hours on Saturday 20th July 2024 up to 14:00 hours on Saturday 20th July 2024.
The effect of the Order will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding on the lengths of road set out in the Schedule below. The restriction will apply at such times and to such extent when prescribed traffic signs are being displayed.
The parade will progress through Coventry City Centre under a rolling road closure which will be removed as the parade progresses.
Exemptions to the Order will be provided for:
(a) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or an authorised event marshal;
(b) emergency service vehicles, local authority vehicles and statutory undertaker vehicles when necessary, at the time of an emergency for that vehicle to have access to part of a street under restriction imposed by the Order;
(c) any vehicle being used in connection with the Event.

TEMPORARY TRAFFIC ARRANGEMENTS CROMWELL LANE, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of the Order would be to prohibit vehicles from waiting, loading or unloading, entering or proceeding on Cromwell Lane from its junction with Westwood Heath Road to its junction with Hodgetts Lane between the hours of 9:30am until 5:30pm.
The Order would come into effect at 9:30 hours on Friday 9th August 2024 and is required to allow Virgin Media to carry out remedial re-instatement works safely on the said road.
The maximum duration of the Order is eighteen (18) months or until the said works are completed, whichever is earlier. It is expected that the works would be completed by Monday 12th August 2024.
The specific closure times would apply as the signage indicates on site.

TEMPORARY PUBLIC RIGHT OF WAY/FOOTPATH CLOSURES FP GRESWOLD CLOSE FROM NO 49 TO GRAVEL HILL AND FP GRESWOLD CLOSE FROM SIDE OF NO 2 TO NO 37, COVENTRY
Coventry City Council, under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, (as amended), intends to make a temporary Order, the effect of which would be a closure of the length of footpath detailed in the Schedule below (when appropriate signage is in place).
The Order would come into operation at 00.01 hours on Tuesday 6th August 2024, and is required to enable Virgin Media to safely install new ducting and chambers on the said Footpaths.
The maximum duration of this Order is six (6) months but it is expected that the works would be completed by Tuesday 13th August 2024.
Alternative route for pedestrians affected by the closure would be as signed on site.
