What is happening?
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14 - KIRKLEES COUNCIL
(SANDY GATE, SCHOLES, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Sandy Gate, Scholes from a point outside Four Winds, Sandy Gate to a point outside Sandy Gate Barn, Sandy Gate PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Sandy Gate, Scholes Moor Road, Cross Lane, Ryecroft Lane, Sandy Gate and vice versa
It is intended that the closure will operate on Tuesday 6 August 2024 between the hours of 09:30 and 13:30 for approximately one day (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months necessary)
(TOWN END ROAD, WOOLDALE, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Town End Road, Wooldale from its junction with Clifton Lane to a point outside property no. 37 Town End Road PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Town End Road, Bank Lane, New Mill Road, Town End Road and vice versa
It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 6 August 2024 and will remain in force until 9 August 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(ISLAND DRIVE, BROCKHOLES, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Island Drive, Brockholes from its junction with New Mill Road to the end of Island Drive PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.

(OLD TURNPIKE, HONLEY, HOLMFIRTH) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of Old Turnpike, Honley from a point outside Salter Calder Court to its junction with Eastgate PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times
Alternative routes for vehicles affected by the closure will be available via Eastgate, Southgate, Old Turnpike and vice versa
It is intended that the closure will operate on Thursday 8 August 2024 for approximately one day between the hours of 19:00 and 23:00 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
(WOODHEAD ROAD, BERRY BROW, HUDDERSFIELD) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Council of the Borough of Kirklees by reason of works proposed to be carried out on or near the road intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order the effect of which will be that no person shall cause or permit any vehicle to proceed in that length of lane closure of Woodhead Road, Berry Brow from a point approximately 200 metres after its junction with Hanging Stone Road heading towards Huddersfeld PROVIDED THAT such prohibition shall not extend to vehicles being used in connection with the works to be carried out on or near the closed length of road or to vehicles requiring access up to the point(s) of the closure.
Pedestrian access will be maintained at all times

It is intended that the closure will commence on Tuesday 6 August 2024 and will remain in force until 8 August 2024 (although it can remain in force for any period up to 18 months if necessary)
