Annesley Road - Temporary Prohibition of Driving to Carry Out Carriageway Patching Works

What is happening?

THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL
(ANNESLEY ROAD, LINBY AND AREA) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (G24-102)

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Linby and Annesley Woodhouse in the Borough of Gedling and District of Ashfield.

The effects of the Order will be:

1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road;

a. Annesley Road, Linby - From its junction with A611 Hucknall By-Pass Northbound, for a distance of 800 metres in a North Westerly direction.

b. Annesley Road, Annesley Woodhouse - For its entire Length, Northbound.

2. Vehicles are prohibited from waiting, loading and unloading in the following length of road at Linby and Annesley Woodhouse in the Borough of Gedling and District of Ashfield :-

a. Annesley Road, Linby - (Northbound) (from 20:00 Hours until 05:00 Hours) From its junction with A611 Hucknall By Pass Northbound, for a distance of 800 metres in a North Westerly direction.

b. Annesley Road, Annesley Woodhouse - (Northbound)(from 20:00 Hours until 05:00 Hours) - For its entire Length.

3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.

4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 20:00 Hours, Monday 29th July 2024 Until 05:00 Hours, Thursday 01st August 2024, Nightly.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
A608 Mansfield Road - A608 Mansfield Road - A608
Alfreton Road - Willey Lane - B600 Willey Lane - A608
Moorgreen - B600 Church Road - B600 Main Road - B600
Main Road - B600 Watnall Road - B600 Nottingham Road -
A6002 Low Wood Road - A6002 Camberley Road - A6002
Sandhurst Road - A6002/A611 Hucknall Lane - A611 Hucknall By-pass

The Order will come into force on Monday 29th July 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).

The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out Carriageway Patching Works.
