New House Lane (D357) Salfords
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of New House Lane (D357) Salfords which extends from the southwestern property boundary line of “Longwood” to its junction with Crossoak Lane (D356).
Alternative Route – Crossoak Lane (D356), Picketts Lane (D355), Axes Lane (C65) and New House Lane (D357) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 1 day, between 9:30am and 3:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 09 August 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Downs Way (D2556) Bookham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Downs Way (D2556) Bookham as extends from its junction with (D2583) Hale Pit Road to a point in line with the common boundary between No.50 and No.52 Downs Way.
This Order is required to facilitate water connection works for, or on behalf of SES Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days between the hours of 8am and 4.30pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 29 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates if required, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists. There is no alternative route for this closure.
Old Road (D309) Buckland
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Old Road (D309) Buckland as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Broome Lodge” to its junction with the access to the property known as “The Old Way House”.
Alternative Route: Old Road (Buckland), Old Road (Betchworth), Old Reigate Road, Station Road, (A25) Reigate Road, and Old Road (Buckland), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of new gas connection works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 29 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Middle Street (C54) Brockham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Middle Street (C54) Brockham as extends from its junction with (D2849) Oakdene Road to its junction with (D307) Glenfield Road.
Alternative Route: Middle Street, Brockhamhurst Road, Red Lane, Blackbrook Road, Chart Lane South, (A24) Deepdene Avenue, (A25) Reigate Road, and Brockham Lane, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to provide a works safety zone for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council. These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained only when safe to do so, if necessary, via the diversion route. All other traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Marlborough Hill (D2803) Dorking
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Marlborough Hill (D2803) Dorking as extends from its junction with (D2813) Dene Street and for a distance of 90 metres south westwards along Marlborough Hill; and, (b) Suspend “The Urban District of Dorking (Various Roads) (One-Way Traffic) Order 1971” made or having effect as if made under Sections 82, 83 and/or 84 of the Act insofar as affects the length of road described in this Notice.
Alternative Route: (1) Dene Street, (A25) High Street, Lyons Court, Back Alley, Marlborough Road, and Marlborough Hill; and (2) Marlborough Hill, Marlborough Road, Back Alley, Rose Hill, (A25) South Street, Junction Road, (A25) West Street, (A25) High Street, (A25) Reigate Road, (A24) Deepdene Avenue, Chart Lane, and Dene Street.
This Order is required to facilitate S278 development works for, or on behalf of Stepnell.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 5 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 5pm, within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times within the works area only. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Weare Street (D293) Ockley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Weare Street (D293) Ockley as extends from its junction with (D293) Weare Street Capel to its junction with the access to the property known as “The Oaks”; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in the District of Mole Valley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Weare Street (Ockley), (A29) Stane Street, (B2126) Coles Lane, and Weare Street (Capel), or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to carry out telegraph pole replacement works for, or on behalf of BT Openreach.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between 9.30am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 15 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Waterhouse Lane (B2032) Kingswood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.3) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Waterhouse Lane (B2032) Kingswood as extends from its junction with (A217) Brighton Road to its junction with (X25224) Alcocks Lane.
Alternative Route: (1) (B2032) Waterhouse Lane, (B2032) Bonsor Drive, (A217) Brighton Road, (A240) Reigate Road, (B2221) Tattenham Way, and (A217) Brighton Road; (2) (A217) Brighton Road, (B2032) Bonsor Drive, and (B2032) Waterhouse Lane.
This Order is required to facilitate sewer connection works for, or on behalf of STD Civils Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 19 days, between the hours of 8am and 4pm within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 12 August 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, via the banksmen on site. All other traffic, including emergency service vehicles will be required to follow the diversion route.
The Platt (D145) Dormansland
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of The Platt (D145) Dormansland as extends from its junction with Public Footpath No. 561, Dormansland (also known as Townpath–The Platt (T10066) north eastwards for a distance of 20 metres.
Alternative Route – The Platt.
The Order is required to facilitate new mains gas connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SGN within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried over 5 days between the hours of 8am and4pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 25 July 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Brockham Lane (C54) Brockham and Reigate Road (A25) Betchworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in (a) that length of Brockham Lane (C54) Brockham as extends from its junction with (A25) Reigate Road to its junction with (X54) Access to 12-20 Brockham Lane; (b) the entire length of the dedicated right turn only lane on Reigate Road (A25) Betchworth at its junction with (C54) Brockham Lane; and (c) the entire length of the dedicated left turn only slip lane on Reigate Road (A25) Betchworth at its junction with (C54) Brockham Lane. Alternative Route – Brockham Lane; Middle Street; Brockhamhurst Road; Red Lane; Blackbrook Road; Chart Lane South; A25 Deepdene Avenue; and A25 Reigate Road or this same route in reverse.
The Order is required to facilitate new mains gas connection works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of SGN within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried over 8 days between the hours of 7am and 7pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 29 July 2024.

Access residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Bouverie Road (D1079) Chipstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Bouverie Road (D1079) Chipstead as extends from its junction with (D1080) How Lane eastwards for a distance of 60 metres.
Alternative Route–How Lane; Hollymead Road; Lissoms Road; and Bouverie Road or this same route in reverse.
The Order is required to facilitate telegraph pole replacement works and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of I and A Communications Ltd and/or BT Openreach within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried over 2 days between the hours of 9am and 4pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 12 August 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Various Roads in Reigate and Banstead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.2) 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of SGN. These works are anticipated to be carried out in 4 phases over 6 weeks, between the hours of 8am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 12 August 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. It will not be possible to maintain access through the closure for emergency services, residents and businesses and all vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route. With the exception for residents within (X68641) Rickman Hill Road, will be granted access via Hollymead Road.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom, may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.
Schedule
(1) That length of Hollymead Road (D1079) Chipstead as extends from its junction with (D1079) Hollymeoak Road and for a distance of 80 metres in a westerly direction along Hollymead Road. Alternative Route: Hollymead Road, How Lane, High Road, Hogscross Lane, Star Lane, (A23) Brighton Road, Farthing Way, Brighton Road, Chipstead Valley Road, and Portnalls Road, or this route in reverse.
(2) That length of Hollymeoak Road (D1079) Chipstead as extends from its junction with (D1079) Hollymead Road and for a distance of 70 metres in an easterly direction along Hollymeoak Road. Alternative Route: (1) Hollymeoak Road, (A23) Brighton Road, Star Lane, Hogscross Lane, High Road, and Coulsdon Lane, or this route in reverse: (2) Hollymeoak Road, (A23) Brighton Road, Star Lane, Hogscross Lane, High Road, How Lane, and Hollymead Road, or this route in reverse.
(3) That length of Coulsdon Lane (C136) Chipstead as extends from its junction with (C136) Portnalls Road and for a distance of 41 metres in a south westerly direction along Coulsdon Lane. Alternative Route: High Road, Hogscross Lane, Star Lane, (A23) Brighton Road, Farthing Way, Brighton Road, Chipstead Valley Road, and Portnalls Road, or this route in reverse.
(4) That length of Portnalls Road (C136) Chipstead as extends from its junction with (C136) Coulsdon Road and for a distance of 80 metres in a north easterly direction along Portnalls Road. Portnalls Road, Chipstead Valley Road, Brighton Road, Farthing Way, (A23) Brighton Road, Star Lane, Hogscross Lane, High Road, and Coulsdon Lane, or this route in reverse.
Ninehams Road (D1391) Caterham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Ninehams Road (D1391) Caterham as extends from its junction with (D1393) Milton Road north-eastwards for a distance of 55 metres.
Alternative Route – Milton Road; Banstead Road; Eldon Road; Gordon Road; Addison Road; and Ninehams Road or this same route in reverse.
The Order is required to facilitate the disconnection and reinstallation of new electrical service cables and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf UK Power Networks within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried over 5 days within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 12 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. Due to the nature of the works, there will be no vehicular access through the closure area and all vehicles, including residents and the emergency services, will be required to use the signed diversion route.
The Council are satisfied that, in accordance with Section 3(2)(a) and 3(2)(b) of the Act, vehicular access to and from premises within the length of road above, or accessible only therefrom may be restricted in order to avoid danger to persons or other traffic using the road and/or for preventing the likelihood of any such danger arising.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the lengths of roads specified in the Schedule to this Notice. This Order is required to enable BT to facilitate telecommunication and/or fibre cabling works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 5 August 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Schedule
1. that length of Abinger Road (D289) Leith Hill which extends from its junctions with C43 Leith Hill Lane to the southern property boundary of Cockshot Farm. Alternative Route – Abinger Road, Coldharbour Lane, Falkland Road, Vincent Lane, Westcott Road, Guildford Road, Coast Hill, Guildford Road, Hollow Lane and Leith Hill Road;
2. (a) the entire length of Tanhurst Lane (D289) Abinger; (b) that length of Leith Hill Road (C43) Abinger which extends from its junction with D289 Tanhurst Lane north-westwards for a distance of 100m; and (c) that length of Leith Hill Lane (C43) Holmbury St Mary which extends from its junction with D289 Tanhurst Lane to its junction with the southern arm of D289 Abinger Road.
Alternative Route 1 – Holmbury Lane, Ockley Road and Leith Hill Lane; Alternative Route 2 – Leith Hill Road, Hollow Lane, Guildford Road, Coast Hill, Guildford Road, Westcott Road, West Street, South Street, Falkland Road, Coldharbour Lane and Abinger Road;

Bull Hill (A245) and Randalls Road (A245) Leatherhead
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 17 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the Schedule to this Notice.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed within 2 weeks, between 7am and 7pm, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 25 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.
To facilitate the alternative route, the Order imposing a prohibition of heavy commercial vehicle on Oaklawn Road and Oxshott Road shall be suspended, only insofar as it relates to those roads.

Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1)
Public Footpath 546 (Horley)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 25 July 2024 Surrey County Council will make the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 546 (Horley) which extends for about 85 metres in an easterly and then a northerly direction from its junction with High Street (Grid ref: 528623 143124) to its junction with Station Approach (Grid ref: 528674 143165).
The Order is necessary to enable the replacement of pumping and drainage system in the subway along the highway. The closure will be in operation for a period of 33 days from 29 July 2024 until 30 August 2024, or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route for traffic from the High Street end of the closure is via pavements and Public Footpath 547 (Horley) (foot bridge).
The alternative route for traffic from Station Approach end of the closure will be the reverse of the above.
“The Surrey County Council Public Footpath 546 (Horley) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic 2024” will be made by the County Council under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, Section 14(1) & (2)
Public Footpath No. 337 (Charlwood)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 337 (Charlwood) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024 was made on the grounds of public safety due to a bridge in disrepair. The Order came into operation on 30 May 2024. It was due to expire on 31 July 2024, but has now been continued in force by the Secretary of State for Transport until 31 January 2025, or until the completion of the works, whichever is earlier.
The Order as continued prohibits all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath 337 (Charlwood) which extends for 820 metres in an easterly and then south-easterly direction from its junction with Norwoodhill Road (Grid ref: 524687 142906) to its junction with Public Footpath 339 (Charlwood).
The prohibition described above will only be operative while the County Council, or an authorised person acting on its behalf, displays signs prescribed by the Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002 (S.I. 2002 No. 3113) prohibiting the said movements. Access to properties will not be affected.
There is no recommended alternative route.

A2022 Fir Tree Road, Banstead
(Prohibition of U-Turn) Order 202-
SURREY COUNTY COUNCIL propose to make under Sections 1(1) and 2(1) to (3) of and Part IV of Schedule 9 to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the above mentioned Order, the effect of which will be to:-
1. Prohibit traffic that is proceeding north-eastward on A2022 Fir Tree Road, Banstead from its junction with A240 Reigate Road from making a U-Turn, so as to face or proceed in the opposite direction.
2. Revoke “The Borough of Reigate and Banstead Warren Road to Fir Tree Road (A2022) (Prohibition of Right-hand Turns) Order 1981” in its entirety.
The above restriction shall not apply to vehicles being used for ambulance, fire brigade or police purposes in an emergency; or in relation to anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform; or in accordance with any restriction or requirement indicated by traffic signs placed on the road by or on behalf of Surrey Police.

SCC Property and ISG Ltd has applied to Surrey County Council for planning permission for The erection of a part one, part two and part three storey building to provide a 5-form entry junior school, with two all-weather sports pitches, a MUGA pitch, a hard play area with netball court, and provision of car parking spaces and provision of a new internal access road with a new egress point on to Cockshot Hill, with associated hard and soft landscaping and off-site highways works.
The proposed development does not accord with the provisions of the development plan in force in the area in which the application is situated.
The planning application has been amended and additional/amplifying information in relation to the planning application has been submitted by the applicant.
