(Various Roads, Littlebury) (Combined Speed Limits) Order 202*
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council proposes to make the above Order under S81, 82(1) & (2) (b), 83(2), 84(1)(a) and (2) and Parts III and IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended)
Effect of the order: To Implement: a ‘30mph Speed Limit’ (an existing 40mph Speed Limit Road).

‘The Essex County Council (Uttlesford) (40mph Speed Limit) Order 2006’ is hereby revoked insofar as it relates to those lengths of Littlebury Green Road, in the Parish of Littlebury. All other restrictions shall continue in force by virtue of the new Order.
‘The Essex County Council (Littlebury Green Road, Littlebury) (Restricted Road) Order 2011’ is hereby revoked in its entirety. All restrictions shall continue in force by virtue of the new Order.
‘The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Clavering, Great Chesterford, Little Chesterford, Littlebury and Saffron Walden) (Combined Speed Limit) Order 2009’ is hereby revoked insofar as it relates to those lengths of Walden Road. All other restrictions shall remain in force by virtue of the new Order.
‘The Essex County Council (Uttlesford District) (Restricted Road) Order 2006’ insofar as it relates to those lengths of road in the Parish of Littlebury, and Catmere End. All other restrictions shall remain in force by virtue of this new Order.

Footpath 15, Little Easton and Footpath 16, Great Dunmow (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 15, Little Easton and Footpath 16, Great Dunmow in the District of Uttlesford. As below.

(B1383 London Road and Spring Hill, Littlebury) (Special Event) (Temporary 30MPH Speed Limit) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Orders under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended).
Effect of the orders: To temporarily introduce a 30MPH speed limit on B1383 London Road, Littlebury and Spring Hill, Littlebury in the District of Uttlesford (B1383 London Road is currently 50MPH and Spring Hill is currently 50MPH):

The existing 50MPH speed limit on the above length of Spring Hill and existing 50MPH on the above length of B1383 London Road as detailed in ‘The Essex County Council (Various roads, various parishes, Uttlesford) (Restricted Road, 40MPH & 50MPH Speed Limit) Order 2018’ are hereby temporarily suspended for the duration of the event. All other restrictions will still be in force.
The temporary restrictions are scheduled to commence on 01 August 2024 to 04 August 2024 between midday and midnight, or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting, and are required for the safety of the public while a concert takes place at Audley End. Once the event has been completed the roads will revert back to the existing speed limits.
The Order will come into effect on 01 August 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the event have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Linton Road, Hadstock) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Linton Road, Hadstock in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 55m north west of its junction with Bartlow Road for a distance of approximately 40m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 17th August 2024 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7100110349876 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent.

The Order will come into effect on 25th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Cole End Lane, Wimbish/Sewards End) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cole End Lane, Wimbish/ Sewards End in the District of Uttlesford, from the junction with Thaxted Road to the junction with Walden Road a distance of approximately 2600m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2024 for 26 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231011182 – Low Carbon). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new solar farm works are undertaken by Low Carbon.
An alternative route is available via Walden Road, Radwinter Road, Thaxted Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 25th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Monk Street, Thaxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Monk Street, Thaxted in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 180m south of its junction with Folly Mill Lane for a distance of approximately 60m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th August 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011001344984 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Dunmow Road, Monk Street and vice versa (with access only into Monk Street).
The Order will come into effect on 25th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Bury Water Lane, Newport) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Bury Water Lane, Newport in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 45m south west of its junction with Cambridge Road for a distance of approximately 155m in a south westerly direction.
2. To temporarily introduce a ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.
‘The Essex County Council (Uttlesford District) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019’ will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting at Any Time’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2024 for (closure for two weeks only within the 33 days), or where stated on a valid permit (EP20150376992 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while footway and carriageway improvement works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Bury Water Lane, Cambridge Road, High Street, Wicken Road, School Lane and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Chapel End, Broxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Chapel End, Broxted in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 230m north east of its junction with School Lane for a distance of approximately 60m in a north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st August 2024 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30051079094 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via Waltham Hall Road, Elsenham Road, Hall Road, Henham Road, Mill Road, Thaxted Road, Church End Lane, Church End, Brick End and vice versa (access only into Molehill Green Road, Chapel End, Woodgates End, Brick End).
The Order came into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Cornells Lane, Widdington) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Cornells Lane, Widdington in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 125m south east of its junction with Mole Hall Lane for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2024 for 19 days, or where stated on a valid permit (TR010T005852 – Eclipse Power Networks Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new electrical connection works are undertaken by Eclipse Power Networks Ltd.

(Duck Street, Little Easton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Duck Street, Little Easton in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 450m north west of its junction with Park Road for a distance of approximately 25m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th July 2024 for 11 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06056884LS – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fullers Lane, Elsenham in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 300m south west of its junction with Hall Road for a distance of approximately 110m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2024 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA002W7F71892 – Openreach). The Order will come into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hall Road, Elsenham) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hall Road, Elsenham in the District of Uttlesford, from both of its junctions with Henham Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2024 for 21 days, or where stated on a valid permit (ZP01001017886-1RC-EUL – Gas Transportation Company). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new gas supply works are undertaken by Gas Transportation Company.

(High Lane, Stansted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of High Lane, Stansted in the District of Uttlesford, from both of its junctions with Cambridge Road to its junction with Lower Street a distance of approximately 2030m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2024 for 83 days (rolling road closure), or where stated on a valid permit (AZ5011001338501 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while mains replacement works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via Chapel Hill, Cambridge Road and vice versa (with access only into Lower Street).

(Stebbing Road, Stebbing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stebbing Road, Stebbing in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 160m east of its junction with Warehouse Road for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2024 for 7 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP02231010919 – Landmark Construction Services Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway resurfacing works are undertaken by Landmark Construction Services Ltd.
