What is happening?
Essex County Council
(Shalford Green, Shalford)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Shalford Green, Shalford in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Garretts Lane to its junction with Victoria Hill for a distance of approximately 835m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th August 2024 for 9 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2357339 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Garretts Lane, Shalford Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 25th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(The Street, Bradwell)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of The Street, Bradwell in the District of Braintree, from its junction with A120 for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th August 2024 for 10 nights (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (FN40695239329 – National Highways). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage works are undertaken by National Highways.
An alternative route is available via The Street, Church Road, Fiveash Lane, Hollies Road, A120 and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 25th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Armond Road, Witham)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Armond Road, Witham in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 90m north west of its junction with Guithavon Valley for a distance of approximately 55m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 31st July 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (KL701LTN1-38-32-310724 – Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while bridge maintenance works are undertaken by Network Rail Infrastructure Ltd.
An alternative route is available via Armond Road, Guithavon Valley, Collingwood Road, Braintree Road, Chipping Hill, Powers Hall End, Spa Road, Highfields Road, Armond Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Coggeshall Road, Braintree)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) &
(Rayne Road/Bank Street/Coggeshall Road, Braintree)
(Temporary Suspension of One Way) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Coggeshall Road, Braintree in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 25m west of the junction with Blyths Meadow for a distance of approximately 15m in a westerly direction.
2. To temporarily suspend the one way restriction in that length of Rayne Road, Braintree in the District of Braintree from its junction with Panfield Lane to its junction with Bocking End as detailed in ‘The Essex County Council (Rayne Road, Braintree) (One Way) Order 2011’ for the duration of the above closure only.
3. To temporarily suspend the one way restriction in that length of Bank Street, Braintree in the District of Braintree from its junction with Bocking End to its junction with Coggeshall Road as detailed in ‘The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Braintree) (One Way) Order 2020’ for the duration of the above closure only.
4. To temporarily suspend the one way restriction in that length of Coggeshall Road, Braintree in the District of Braintree from its junction with Bocking End, east for approximately 55 metres as detailed in ‘The Essex County Council (Various Roads, Braintree) (One Way) Order 2020’ for the duration of the above closure only.
The closure/suspensions are scheduled to commence on 11th August 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD01310756909 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/suspensions are required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Anglian Water.
An alternative route is available via Railway Street, Trinovantian Way, Manor Street, Chapel Hill, Millennium Way, Cressing Road, Galleys Corner Roundabout, A120, King William Roundabout, Link under Braintree Bypass, Roseval Roundabout, London Road, Pierfifite Way or Pierfifite Way, London Road, Roseval Roundabout, A120, Galleys Corner Roundabout, Cresing Road, Millennium Way, Chapel Hill, Manor Street, Trinovantian Way and Railway Street (With access only into Rayne Road, Bank Street and Coggeshall Road).
The Order came into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Rectory Lane, Rivenhall)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Rectory Lane, Rivenhall in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 215m south east of its junction with Rickstones Road for a distance of approximately 110m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2024 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EN013311981 – Essex And Suffolk Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Essex And Suffolk Water.
An alternative route is available via Rectory Lane, Forest Road, Rickstones Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(South Street, Braintree)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of South Street, Braintree in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Silks Way for a distance of approximately 20m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2024 for 1 night (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (AZ7011010323708 – Cadent). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Cadent.
An alternative route is available via B1256, A120, B1256 and vice versa (with access only into Pierrefitte Way, High Street, St Michaels Road, South Street, Railway Street).
The Order came into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(St Michaels Lane, Braintree)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of St Michaels Lane, Braintree in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 85m south east of the junction with High Street for a distance of approximately 10m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30095608243 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.
An alternative route is available via High Street, St Michaels Road and vice versa (with access only into St Michaels Lane).
The Order came into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
