What is happening?
Temporary Closure of Various Roads, Hazelbury Bryan
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffi c Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along various Roads, Hazelbury Bryan as listed: [i] Smetherd Farm Access Road, Hazelbury Bryan from junction with Silly Hill; [ii] Silly Hill, Hazelbury Bryan from junction with Smetherd Farm Access Road to junction with Kingston Lane; [iii] Kingston Lane, Hazelbury Bryan from junction with Silly Hill to junction with Back Lane. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 29 July 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16 August 2024.
This Order will enable Wessex Internet, safe access to provide Wessex Internet with safe access to install fi bre cabling.
A locally signed diversion route will be put in place to enable traffi c to travel around the closed section.

Temporary Closure of Church Hill, Marnhull
DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffi c Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All vehicles will be prohibited from proceeding along Church Hill, Marnhull between Pilwell and Phillips Road (in both directions), a distance of approximately 180 metres. The order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users. It will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and will remain in force for 18 months, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 8 September 2024.
This Order will enable Mua Electricity Limited to excavate and install a new cable to provide electric supply for the CG Fry Development.
An alternative vehicular route will be signed using Phillips Road, Ashley Road, Sodom Lane and vice versa.

Temporary Closure of Public Footpath N1/3, Shaftesbury
DORSET COUNCIL has made an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffi c Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath N1/3, Shaftesbury from grid reference ST871241 to grid reference ST870239, a distance of approximately 350 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation on 29 July 2024 for a period of 26 weeks, however it is anticipated that the works will be completed by 16 August 2024.
This Order is required to allow Wessex Water to carry out installation of a new water main to connect a new development (Niveus Walk) to the network.

DORSET COUNCIL intend, not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order under Section 14 [1] of the Road Traffi c Regulations Act 1984, as amended. All pedestrians, horse riders and cyclists will be prohibited from proceeding along Footpath N1/3, Shaftesbury from grid reference ST87052398 to grid reference ST87032395, a distance of approximately 35 metres. The Order is needed in order to comply with health and safety regulations, which require the provision of safe working areas and to minimise the likelihood of danger to highway users.
It will come into operation on 29 July 2024 for a period of 26 weeks, but it may be extended with the approval of the Secretary of State for Transport, if necessary.
This Order is required to allow Paul Basham Associates land sale and housing development.
