Cumbria, Temporary Prohibition Of Traffic Due To Utility Work
What is happening?
WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (BENTINCK DRIVE, KIRKBY LONSDALE AND CRAIG WALK, WINDERMERE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF ALL TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic (i.e. vehicles, pedestrians and cyclists), from proceeding along the following sections of road:
1. Bentinck Drive, Kirkby Lonsdale, from its junction with the A65, extending in a north westerly direction for a distance of approx. 10 m.
Alternative Route: via the unrestricted section of Bentinck Drive and the A65.
Duration: From 5th August 2024 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTROW/10992)
2. Craig Walk, Windermere, from a point approx. 90 m north east of its junction with Helm Road, extending in a north easterly direction for a distance of approx. 30 m.
There is no suitable alternative route available.
Duration: From 12th August 2024 for approx. 5 days (Ref: TTROW/11037)

The Order will come into operation on 5th August 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restrictions will only be required as detailed above, and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
