What is happening?

THE BOROUGH OF BLACKBURN WITH DARWEN

DAVIES ROAD, BLACKBURN (TEMPORARY SPEED RESTRICTION) NOTICE 2024

NOTICE is hereby given that the Blackburn with Darwen Borough Council, intend to make under Section 14(1)(a) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to temporarily prohibit any motor vehicle or cycle from proceeding at speed exceeding 5 mph on the lengths of highway;

Davies Road, Blackburn From a point 90 metres from its junction with Blakewater Road for its remaining extent of Davies Road The prohibition will be operative from 00:00 hours on 5th August 2024 until 23:59 hours on 5th May 2025 or until completion of works within this period.

The temporary prohibition is necessary for works to install a temporary bridge and subsequent safe operation.
