What is happening?

CHESHIRE WEST AND CHESTER BOROUGH COUNCIL TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDERS

Notice is hereby given that on the 9th July 2024 Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council made the following Traffic Regulation Orders in accordance with the provisions of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 which will come into operation on the 19th July 2024.

(HADLOW ROAD, WILLASTON) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting on the following lengths of road:

    • Hadlow Road - both sides from a point 15m south of its junction with Neston Road for a distance of 17m in a southerly direction.

(HOOTON ROAD AND OVERDALE ROAD, WILLASTON) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting on the following lengths of road:

    • Hooton Road - both sides from a point 15m south-west of its junction with Overdale Road to a point 15m north-east of its junction Overdale Road.

    • Overdale Road - both sides from its junction Hooton Road for a distance of 15m in a north-westerly junction.

(GRAPPENHALL ROAD, GREAT SUTTON) (DISABLED PERSONS' PARKING PLACE) ORDER 2024

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a disabled persons parking bay on:

    • Grappenhall Road: - (south-west side) from a point 122m north from its junction with Appleton Drive for a distance of 6.6m in a north-easterly direction.

(RIVACRE ROAD AND HOOTON LANE, ELLESMERE PORT) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting on the following lengths of road:

    • Rivacre Road - both sides from a point 15m south-east of its junction with Hooton Lane for a distance of 30m in a north-westerly direction and from a point 15m south-east of its junction with Rivacre View for a distance of 30m in a north-westerly direction.

    • Hooton Lane - both sides from its junction with Rivacre Road for a distance of 15m in a south-westerly direction.

(ARTHUR AVENUE, ELLESMERE PORT) (DISABLED PERSONS' PARKING PLACE) ORDER 2024

The effect of the Order will be to introduce a disabled persons parking bay on:

    • Arthur Avenue: - (north-east side) from a point 56m south-east of its junction with Wellington Road for a distance of 5m in a south-easterly direction.

(BERWICK ROAD AND HILLCREST ROAD, ELLESMERE PORT) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING) ORDER 2024

The effect of the Order will be to prohibit waiting on the following lengths of road:

    • Berwick Road - both sides from a point 15m east of its junction with Hillcrest Road to a point 15m west of its junction with Hillcrest Road.

    • Hillcrest Road - both sides from its junction with Berwick Road for a distance of 15m in a southerly direction.

Any person who desires to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision therein on the grounds that it is not within the powers conferred by the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 or on the grounds that any requirement of that Act or any regulation made thereunder has not been complied with in relation to the Order may within six weeks from the 9th July 2024 make application to the High Court for this purpose.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC TRO17553 Cheyney Road in Chester

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester City & the Garden Quarter Ward to enable Junction and Traffic Signal Improvement Works to be carried out by Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council.

Cheyney Road: 24 HOUR ROAD CLOSURE Monday 29th July - Sunday 18th August 2024 - Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes. The Order will come into force on 29th July 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 3 weeks to complete. Alternative routes for through traffic - Traffic should proceed via Parkgate Road, Blacon Avenue Roundabout, Deva Link, Greyhound Park Roundabout, Saughall Road, Cheyney Road.

TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC TRO7950 Meadow Lane in Chester

Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 that the Cheshire West and Chester Borough Council intend to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit/restrict traffic on the following length of road in Chester to enable new connection works to be carried out by Severn Trent Water. Meadow Lane - Nothing in the Order shall prevent driving upon the said lengths of road of any vehicle which is being used for the conveyance of persons goods or merchandise to or from any premises situate on or adjacent to the lengths of road or in connection with agriculture building construction works of repair and the like or use in an emergency of vehicles for fire brigade ambulance or police purposes. A through route will not always be available and any vehicles not requiring access to properties on the length of road should use the alternative routes.

The Order will come into force on 19th July 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding eighteen months or until the works which it is proposed to carry out have been completed whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that the works will take approximately 4 weeks to complete. Alternative routes for through traffic - Traffic should proceed via Butterbache Road, Woodlands Road, Chester Road, Meadow Lane
