TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING & A62 HUDDERSFIELD ROAD STANDEDGE 30 MPH ORDER 2024
The Oldham Borough Council on 16th August 2024 made a Temporary Order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which is to prohibit vehicles from proceeding along that part of Huddersfield Road between Dorset Avenue and Ambrose Crescent & that part of Spurn Lane from Huddersfield Road for 120 metres north westerly & No person shall cause any vehicle to proceed along A62 Huddersfield Road Standedge from Tetley Bye Road to the Kirklees boundary at a speed exceeding 30 miles per hour.
The alternative route is Sam Road, Station Road, Harrop Green Lane, Huddersfield Road, A62 Standedge Cutting, A62 Huddersfield Road, and A676 Standedge Road.
The Order is to be made to allow Cadent gas works and will be in force for 3 weeks from 16th August 2024, or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
