What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council has made the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC000139176206 . The City of Manchester (Turner Street, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Suspension of One-Way Traffic & No Waiting, No Loading) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to suspend the One-Way Traffic and prohibit Waiting & Loading on Turner Street between High Street and Red Lion Street. The City Council is satisfied that this suspension is necessary in order to facilitate adjacent development works. It is expected that the works will be in progress from 22nd July 2024 to 21st January 2026. The Order shall come into operation on 22nd July 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
