What is happening?

NOTICE OF MODIFICATION ORDER 

SECTION 53 OF THE WILDLIFE AND COUNTRYSIDE ACT 1981 RUTLAND COUNTY COUNCIL DISTRICT COUNCIL DEFINITIVE MAP AND STATEMENT FOR THE COUNTY OF RUTLAND ADDITION OF FOOTPATH E362 BETWEEN SHEEPDYKE, COTTESMORE AND MAIN STREET, BARROW IN THE PARISH OF COTTESMORE DEFINITIVE MAP MODIFICATION ORDER 2024

THE above order, made on 18th July 2024, under section 53(2)(b) of the Wildlife and Countryside Act 1981, if confirmed as made, will modify the Definitive Map and Statement for the area by  Adding a footpath commencing at point A at grid reference SK 9014 1394 being a point at Sheepdyke, Cottesmore, the claimed footpath then proceeds in a north- westerly direction for approximately 565 metres when it reaches point B, which is on the western side of Cold-Overton Road, the claimed footpath then proceeds further in a north-westerly direction for roughly a kilometre and arrives at Main Street, Barrow reaching point C at grid reference at grid reference SK 8916 1512.

A copy of the order and the order map have been placed at and may be seen free of charge at Rutland County Council District Council, Legal Services, Council Offices, Catmose, Oakham Rutland from 9.00 AM to 4.30 PM Monday to Friday. ANY representations about or objections to the order may be sent in writing to the Principal Solicitor, Rutland County Council District Council, Catmose, Oakham, Rutland, LE15 6HP not later than noon on Monday 29th August 2024. Applicants are asked to please state the grounds on which they are made.

IF no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn the Rutland County Council District Council instead of submitting the Order to the Secretary of State may itself confirm the order. If the order is submitted to the Secretary of State for the Environment for confirmation any representations and objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the order.  18th July 2024
