What is happening?

HERTFORDSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL:

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SISH LANE, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Sish Lane, Stevenage from a point in line with the eastern boundary of No.71 Sish Lane south westwards for a distance of approximately 30m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via Haycroft Road, Letchmore Road and Sish Lane. The Order is needed because electrical connection works are proposed to be executed near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 5 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF ARGYLE WAY, STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council intends to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Argyle Way, Stevenage from its junction with A1155 Fairlands Way south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Road").

An alternative route will be via A1155 Fairlands Way, A1072 Gunnels Wood Road and Argyle Way.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

If the Order is made, it shall come into force on 8 August 2024 for a period of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF SPRING ROAD AND MUDDY LANE, LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"):-

1. that length of Spring Road, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with A505 Baldock Road north westwards for a distance of approximately 20m.

An alternative route will be via A505 (Baldock Road/Hitchin Road), Broadway and Spring Road.

2. that length of Muddy Lane, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with A505 Baldock Road south eastwards for a distance of approximately 20m.

There is no alternative route available for vehicles when the works are being carried out. However vehicular access to properties in this road will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because the replacement of existing gas mains is proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 July 2024 for a period

of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the

times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN WYCHDELL, STEVENAGE AND GRAVELEY ROAD, GREAT WYMONDLEY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads") and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Wychdell, Stevenage from its westernmost junction with Broadwater Crescent south eastwards and north eastwards for its entire length. An alternative route will be via Broadwater Crescent.

2. that length of Graveley Road, Great Wymondley from its junction with Graveley Lane north westwards to its junction with Willian Way, a distance of approximately 529m.

An alternative route will be via Priory Lane, Stevenage Road and Arch Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 July 2024 for a period

of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the

times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN MIDHURST, LETCHWORTH GARDEN CITY) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all vehicular traffic from using that length of Midhurst, Letchworth Garden City from its junction with Woodhurst north westwards and south westwards to its junction with Western Way, a distance of approximately 243m ("the Road"), except for access. An alternative route will be via Woodhurst, Orchard Way and Western Way. ADDITIONALLY all vehicles are prohibited from waiting at any time on both sides of this length of the Road whilst works are in progress. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Road.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 July 2024 for a period

of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the

times indicated by signs on or near the Road.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING AND TEMPORARY WAITING RESTRICTIONS IN VARIOUS ROADS IN STEVENAGE, GREAT ASHBY, ICKLEFORD AND BREACHWOOD GREEN) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using the following lengths of roads ("the Roads"), except for access and to prohibit all vehicles from waiting at any time on both sides of these lengths of Roads whilst works are in progress:-

1. that length of Great Ashby Way, Stevenage/Great Ashby/Stevenage from its junction with the Canterbury Way roundabout north westwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards, north eastwards, south eastwards and south westwards to its junction with the Gresley Way/Glanville Crescent roundabout, a distance of approximately 2770m.

An alternative route will be via Canterbury Way, A1072 Martins Way, Martins Way and Gresley Way.

2. that length of Long Leaves, Stevenage from its northernmost junction with Leaves Spring north eastwards to its junction with Hydean Way, a distance of approximately 90m.

An alternative route will be via Long Leaves, Leaves Spring, Valley Way and Hydean Way.

3. that length of Westmill Lane, Ickleford from its junction with A600 Bedford Road south westwards to its junction with Ryder Way, a distance of approximately 109m. An alternative route will be via A600 Bedford Road, Ryder Avenue and Ryder Way.

4. that length of Winch Hill Road, Breachwood Green from its junction with Whiteway Bottom north eastwards, north westwards and north eastwards to its junction with Darley Road, a distance of approximately 1509m.

An alternative route will be via Whiteway Bottom, Lye Hill, Chapel Way, Heath Road, The Heath and Darley Road.

The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Roads.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 July 2024 for a period

of up to 18 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the

times indicated by signs on or near the Roads.

(TEMPORARY CLOSING OF FOOTWAYS AND FOOTPATHS IN STEVENAGE) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all pedestrians from using the following lengths of footway ("the Footways") and footpath ("the Footpaths"):-

1. the footway situated on the east side of the road leading to Nos.15-29 Canterbury Way, Stevenage from its junction with Canterbury Way northwards for a distance of approximately 144m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

2. the footway situated to the rear of No.440 Canterbury Way, Stevenage from its junction with Canterbury Way northwards for a distance of approximately 34m. There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footway will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

3. the footpath fronting Nos.396-402 Canterbury Way, Stevenage from a point in line with the northern boundary of No.402 Canterbury Way southwards and westwards to its junction with Canterbury Way for a distance of approximately 62m. There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

4. the footpath situated on the south side of No.496 Canterbury Way, Stevenage from its junction with Canterbury Way westwards, north westwards and southwards for a distance of approximately 94m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

5. the footpath situated to the rear of Nos.556-562 Canterbury Way and fronting Nos.572-586 Canterbury Way, Stevenage from its southernmost junction with Canterbury Way south eastwards, north eastwards, north westwards, westwards, north eastwards and north westwards for a distance of approximately 147m. There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works.

6. the footpath situated on the north side of Canterbury Way, Stevenage from its junction with Canterbury Way north eastwards and south eastwards to its junction with Pilgrims Way, a distance of approximately 39m.

There is no alternative route available for pedestrians when the works are being carried out. However pedestrian access to properties along this footpath will be maintained whenever possible throughout the duration of the works. The Order is needed because works are proposed to be executed on or near the Footways and Footpaths.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 July 2024 for a period of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the times indicated by signs on or near the Footways and Footpaths. (TEMPORARY CLOSING OF STEVENAGE RESTRICTED BYWAY NO.057) ORDER 2024

NOTICE is given that Hertfordshire County Council has made the above Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, to prohibit all traffic from using Stevenage Restricted Byway No.057 from its junction with A602 Hitchin Road south westwards for a distance of approximately 20m ("the Restricted Byway"). An alternative route will be via the footway situated on the south west side of A602 Hitchin Road, Stevenage Public Footpath No.059, the footpath situated on the north side of No.26 and No.27 Baron Court and Stevenage Restricted Byway No.057. The Order is needed because utility service works are proposed to be executed on or near the Restricted Byway.

The Order has been made and shall come into force on 22 July 2024 for a period

of up to 6 months. However, the restrictions specified shall only take effect at the

times indicated by signs on or near the Restricted Byway.
