Eccles Old Road - Temporary Road Closure Order
What is happening?
The Council of the City of Salford intends to make the following Order in no less than 7 days under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Salford City Council (Eccles Old Road, Salford) (Temporary Road Closure) Order 2024
The Order will close Eccles Old Road between the junctions of Wellington Road and Edgehill Road. The Order is necessary for essential works to be done. The Westbound closure diversion route will be:
Eastbound on Eccles Old Road - Southbound on Langworthy Road - Westbound on Eccles New Road - 3rd exit on roundabout onto Gilda Brook Road. The Eastbound closure diversion route will be: Westbound on Eccles Old Road - 2nd exit on roundabout onto Gilda Brook Road - 1st exit on roundabout onto Eccles New Road - Eastbound on Eccles New Road - Northbound on Langworthy Road - Eccles Old Road.
The order is intended to come into operation on Monday 5th August 2024 and will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works are completed if earlier. The works are expected to be completed by Friday 13th September 2024. The closures will be in place overnight from 7:00pm to 6:00am each day.
A copy of the proposed Order and plan of the area may be examined at Swinton Gateway, 100 Chorley Road, Swinton, M27 6BP, Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm inclusive.
