What is happening?

THE CITY OF EDINBURGH COUNCIL

(BONALY ROAD AREA) (TEMPORARY ROAD RESTRICTION AND TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024 – TEMP/24/121

The Council has made an order under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, the effect of which will be that for a temporary period, to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works, no person shall:

(a) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle on: (i) Bonaly Rd, from Woodhall Rd to Bonaly Ave; (ii) Grant Ave, from its jnct with Bonaly Rd, northeastwards for 15m; (iii) Munro Drv, from its jnct with Bonaly Rd, westwards for 15m; & (iv) West Carnethy Ave, at its jnct with Bonaly Rd, provided that no more than one of the measures described in this section shall be enacted at any time; &

(b) except with the permission of a Parking Attendant, cause or permit any vehicle to wait or load onto or unload from any vehicle at any time on both sides of: (i) Bonaly Rd, from Woodhall Rd to Bonaly Ave; (ii) Grant Ave, from its jnct with Bonaly Rd, north-eastwards for 15m; & (iii) Munro Drv, from its jnct with Bonaly Rd, westwards for 15m.

Existing restrictions will be suspended on the affected sections of roads described in (b). The alternative routes for vehicular traffic are via: (i) Bonaly Rd – Woodhall Rd, Dreghorn Loan, Laverockdale Cres, Bonaly Cres & Bonaly Ave; (ii) Grant Ave – Barnshot Rd & Woodhall Rd; (iii) Munro Drv – Fernielaw Ave, Woodhall Rd, Dreghorn Loan, Laverockdale Cres, Bonaly Cres, Bonaly Ave & Bonaly Rd; & (iv) West Carnethy Ave – Allermuir Rd, Woodhall Rd, Dreghorn Loan, Laverockdale Cres, Bonaly Cres, Bonaly Ave & Bonaly Rd.

The order shall have effect from 22/7/24 to 24/8/24.
