(Border Union Show) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024
The Scottish Borders Council (Border Union Show) (Temporary Traffic Regulation)
Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 06:00 on 26 July 2024 and is expected to remain in effect until 23:59 on 27 July 2024 – 24 hour restriction. The Order is required in the interests of public safety due to increased traffic attending the 2024 Border Union Show at Kelso.
When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of public safety:
(a) The Scottish Borders Council (Various Roads) (20mph Speed Limit) Order 2024 will be amended as follows: the existing 20mph speed limit on the A699 will be extended westwards from Kelso Bridge for a distance of one mile;
(b) no person shall permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked along both sides of:
(i) the A699 from Kelso Bridge to a point 200 metres west of the Friars Haugh access; and
(ii) the B6352 from Kelso Bridge to its junction with Jedburgh Road.

(Scottish Ambulance Service Clinic – Selkirk)
(Temporary Closing) Order 2024
The Scottish Borders Council (Scottish Ambulance Service Clinic – Selkirk)
(Temporary Closing) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force at 07:00 on 22 July 2024 and is expected to remain in effect until 18:00 on 23 July 2024 – 24 hour closure. The Order is required in the interests of public safety due to increased traffic and pedestrians attending the Scottish Ambulance Service mobile clinic.
When the Order comes into effect, in the interests of public safety, no person shall (i) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle, and (ii) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked, along the south side of the main section of Market Place Car Park, Selkirk.

(C33 North Riccalton Farm, South of Oxnam)
(Temporary Closing) Order 2024
The Scottish Borders Council (C33 North Riccalton Farm, South of Oxnam)
(Temporary Closing) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 26 July 2024 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of one day between the hours of 08:00 and 18:00. The Order is required for BT Openreach works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle along the C33 at North Riccalton Farm, south of Oxnam.
The alternative route for eastbound traffic is via the C33, A68, C32, D91/3, D140/4 and C41 to the point of closure, for westbound traffic the reverse of the foregoing. A map showing the restriction and alternative routes can be seen at www.tellmescotland.gov.uk.
(DJ1/3 Allerley Crescent, Jedburgh) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024
The Scottish Borders Council (DJ1/3 Allerley Crescent, Jedburgh) (Temporary Traffic Regulation) Order 2024 has been made under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended. The Order, which has a maximum duration of 18 months, will come into force on 22 July 2024 and is expected to remain in effect for a period of four days between the hours of 08:00 and 17:00 each day. The Order is required for resurfacing works.
When the Order comes into effect no person shall (i) drive or cause or permit to be driven any vehicle; and (ii) permit any vehicle to wait or to be parked, along the DJ1/3 Allerley Crescent, Jedburgh.
There is no alternative route.
