What is happening?
Essex County Council
(Footpath 18, Theydon Bois) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less
than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order
under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 18, Theydon Bois, in
the District of Epping Forest. From a point approximately 152 metres west
of Footpath 1, north for approximately 120 metres
The closures are scheduled to commence on 29 July 2024 for 2 months
or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The
closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while
a new agricultural building is erected, and heavy lifting equipment is
on the footpath.
The alternative route will be via Great Gregories Lane, Ivy Chimneys Road,
Epping Footpath 22, Theydon Boise Footpath 1and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 29 July 2024 and may continue in force
for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the
earlier.
(Remote footway between 56 and 35 The Hides, Harlow) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close the remote footway between numbers 56 and 35, The Hides, south for approximately 42 metres, in the District of Harlow.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 22 July 2024 for five days or where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while utility works are undertaken. No alternative route available.
The Order will come into effect on 22 July 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Greensted Road, Ongar) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Greensted Road, Ongar in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 300m west then south west of its junction with Church Lane for a distance of approximately 120m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 12th August 2024 for 4 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06058816/AP- Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Greensted Road, Blake Hall Road, Epping Road, Four Wantz Roundabout, Fyfield Road, High Ongar Road, High Street, Coopers Hill, The Borough and vice versa (with access only into Greenstead Road).
The Order will come into effect on 25th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Low Hill Road, Roydon) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Low Hill Road, Roydon in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 95m south west of its junction with Parkfields for a distance of approximately 40m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 13th August 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04410238047 - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while Affinity Water renew/replace a frame and lid. An alternative route is available via Low Hill Road, Netherhall Road, Hamlet Hill, Tylers Road, Reeves Lane, Epping Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 25th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Ladyfields, Loughton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Ladyfields, Loughton in the Epping Forest District, from its junction with Ladyfields Close to its junction with Borders Lane a distance of approximately 85m.
2. To temporarily introduce a 'No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping' in the above length of road for the duration of the closure only.
"The Essex County Council (District of Epping) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary 'No Waiting at Any Time' restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above length of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.
The closure/restriction is scheduled to commence on 29th July 2024 for
16 days, or where stated on a valid permit (YN11233023-WAL-RC-WK31
- Waldon Telecoms). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with
appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure/
restriction is required for the safety of the public and workforce while
antenna removal works are undertaken by Waldon Telecoms.
An alternative route is available via Borders Lane, Rectory Lane, Chigwell
Lane, Colson Road, Ladyfields and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force
for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Moreton Road From Bovinger To Pedlars End, Bobbingworth) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Moreton Road From Bovinger To Pedlars End, Bobbingworth in the District of Epping Forest, from a point approximately 320m south west of its junction with North Chase for a distance of approximately 145m in a southerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 1st August 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008PTMS535668 - Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole test works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Pedlars End, Moreton Bridge, Gainsthorpe Road, Hobbans Farm Road, Moreton Road From Bovinger To Pedlars End and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(School Road, Stanford Rivers) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of School Road, Stanford Rivers in the District of Epping Forest, from its junction with Epping Road for a distance of approximately 75m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 31st July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06023693/AP - Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via School Road, Church Road, London Road, Romford Road, Stanford Rivers Road, Coopers Hill, The Borough, Greensted Road, Toot Hill Road and vice versa. The Order came into effect on 11th July 2024and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Various Roads, Epping Forest) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) (Streetworks No.3) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order:
To temporarily close those lengths of roads in the District of Epping Forest as detailed in the Schedule.
The works are scheduled to commence after 11th July 2024, as stated on a valid permit. The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The roads will be closed to facilitate each phase and then re-opened to the public. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion route will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the roads. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while gas replacement works are undertaken by Cadent. The Order came into effect on 11th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
