(TEMPORARY 30 MILES PER HOUR SPEED LIMIT ORDER)

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily suspend part of The Rotherham Borough Council (Various Roads, Rotherham) (Speed Limits and Speed Derestriction) (Consolidation) Order 2004 and reduce the speed limit from 40 miles hour to 30 miles per hour for motor vehicles travelling along that part of A630 Centenary Way, Canklow in both directions from a point approximately 70m north of its junction with Ickles Roundabout to a point approximately 170m south of Main Street from Thursday  1st. August 2024 until Friday 10th. January 2025. NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the four parts of road in the Rotherham West Area specified in the Schedule to this Notice from Sunday  28th July 2024 until Sunday 25th January 2026 on 5 occasions at the times specified in the Schedule to this Notice.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes for vehicles affected by the Order will be via signposted local diversions.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Grass and hedge cutting work).

That part of Brecks Lane, Brecks, that part of Carr Lane Thrybergh and that part of Ravenfield Lane, Hooton Roberts specified in the first, second and third parts of the Schedule to this Notice will be closed on one day per part of road between 9.30am and 3.30pm between Monday and Friday. That part of Magna Lane, Dalton/Flanderwell Lane Dalton specified in the fourth part of the Schedule to this Notice will be closed on one day not exceeding three hours between 5.00am and 11.30am.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to  be executed on or near the four parts of road [Verge maintenance work  (grass/hedge cutting)]

5 occasions per part of road. The prohibition from proceeding along that part of Abdy Road/Green Lane and that part of Mill Lane specified in the first and second parts of the Schedule to this Notice will be for a period not exceeding three hours between 5.00am and 8.00pm between Monday and Friday. The prohibition from proceeding along that part of B6090 Harley Road/Dyke Hill/Barrow Hill/The Barrow will be on a Sunday for a period not exceeding three hours between 5.00am and 11.30am.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along the three parts of road specified in the Schedule to this notice for periods time between Wednesday 24th. July and Wednesday 14th. August 2024. Not all the roads will be closed at the same time.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative routes will be via local neighbouring streets except for cul de sacs.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the parts of road (Gas main renewals).

SCHEDULE

(i)    Locksley Drive from its junction with Green Arbour Road to the end of the cul de sac.

July and Wednesday 24th. July 2024 between 9.30am and 3.30pm each day.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order will be via High Street, Rotherham Lane, Laughton Road, Sandy Lane, B6060 Woodhouse Green, Kingsforth Lane, Cumwell Lane, A631 Bawtry Road, A631 Rotherham Road, Carr Lane, Peak Lane, and vice versa.

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that part of Fullerton Road from its junction with A6178 Sheffield Road to the end of the adopted carriageway for periods of time between Monday 22nd. July 2024 and Monday 24th. March 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route for vehicles affected by the Order, the road is a cul de sac.

Businesses affected by the Order will receive confirmation of an exact start date before works begin.

July 2024 until Monday 12th. May 2025.

NOTICE is further given that there is no alternative route, the road is a cul de sac.

The reason for the prohibitions is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the road (Residential development).

40 miles per hour speed limit restriction Meadowhall Road Kimberworth Rotherham Notice is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council proposes to make an Order under Section 84 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and all other enabling powers.

The effect of the order if implemented will be:-

(i)    Revoke the derestricted speed limit to the part of road specified in Schedule 1 to this notice;

(ii)   Introduce a 40 mph speed limit to the part of road specified in Schedule 2 to this notice;

NOTICE is hereby given that Rotherham Borough Council intends (not less than seven days from the date of this Notice) to make an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit any pedestrian from proceeding along that part of Public Footpath 3 Harthill commencing from a point at its junction with Carver Way and proceeding in a westerly then southerly direction around Harthill reservoir to a point at its junction with Public Footpath 30 Harthill at Grid reference SK 4869 8026 from Thursday 1st. August until Saturday 31st. August 2024.

NOTICE is further given that the alternative route for pedestrians will be via the section of Public Footpath 3 Harthill along the eastern side of the reservoir.

The reason for the prohibition is because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the footpath (Canal & River Trust will be undertaking construction work at the reservoir, including the decommissioning and construction of a new spillway. The footpath needs to be closed for the works to take place safely along the reservoir embankment which is narrow with steep slopes).
