Wiltshire - Multiple Traffic Notices, Temporary Road Closures.
What is happening?
SECTION 14(1) OF THE ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984
Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council intends to make Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
A) Rollestone Street (Part), Salisbury: From its junction with Salt Lane to its junction with Bedwin Street to enable Wessex Water to carry out new connection and associated works.
Alternative route via Bedwin Street - Endless Street - Winchester Street - Rollestone Street (unaffected length) Salt Lane - St Edmunds Church Street and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 13 August 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 06:00 until 15 August 2024.

B) C10 (Part), Steeple Langford: From its junction with Chapel Lane to outside its property known as Manor Farm House to enable Wessex Water to carry out flood prevention and associated works.
Alternative route via C10 (unaffected length) - A30 - B3089 - C64 - C10 (unaffected length) and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 01 November 2024.

C) C329 (Part), Salisbury: From its junction with Windsor Road to its junction with High Street.
D) C368 (Part), Salisbury
From its junction with C329 to its junction with Churchfields Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out resurfacing and associated maintenance works.
Alternative route clockwise via A36 - A338 - Exeter Street - New Street - Catherine Street.
Alternative route anti-clockwise via Mill Road - New Street - Catherine Street - New Canal.
This Order will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:30 and 06:00 until 24 August 2024.

E) B3089 (Part), Dinton
From its junction with Sandhills Road to its junction with Baverstock Lane to enable Openreach to carry out pole and associated works, diversion route to be symbolised with solid cycle.
Alternative route via B3089 (unaffected length) - A350 - A30 - B3089 (unaffected length) and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 11 August 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 08:00 and 14:00 for 1 day.

Notice is hereby given that the Wiltshire Council has made Orders to close temporarily to all traffic:
F) Upper Street (Part), Salisbury: From its junction with St Georges Road to its junction with Middle Street.
G) Middle Street (Part), Salisbury: From its junction with Upper Street for a distance of approximately 50m in an easterly direction to enable SGN to carry out replacement of gas supplies and associated works.
Alternative route via Middle Street (unaffected length) - Lower Street - A3094 - Upper Street (unaffected length) and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 22 July 2024 and the closure will be required until 19 August 2024.

H) C10 (Part), Wylye: From a point approximately 50m north west of its junction with Nettlemead Lane for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly direction.
I) Nettlemead Lane (Part), Wylye: From its junction with C10 to its property known as No.04 Nettlemead Lane to enable Wessex Water to carry out reinstatement and associated works.
Alternative route H via C10 (unaffected length) - C283 - A36 - A303 - C10 (unaffected length) and vice versa. No alternative route is available for I.
This Order will come into operation on 22 July 2024 and the closure will be required 24 hours a day until 24 July 2024.

J) C336 (Part), Alderbury: From its junction with Witherington Road to its junction with Southampton Road to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works.
Alternative route via Southampton Road - Clarendon Road - Shute End Road and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 22 July 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 07:00 and 18:00 until 30 July 2024.

K) A30 Shaftesbury Road (Part), Wilton and Burcombe Without: From its junction with West Street for a distance of approximately 1.3km in a south westerly direction to enable Wiltshire Council to carry out carriageway resurfacing and associated works.
Alternative route via A30 (unaffected length) - B3089 - A350 - A303 - A36 - A30 (unaffected length) and vice versa.
HGV Alternative route via A30 (unaffected length) - B3089 - A350 - A303 - A360 - The Avenue - A30 (unaffected length) and vice versa.
This Order will come into operation on 25 July 2024 and the closure will be required between the hours of 19:00 and 23:59 until 09 August 2024.

Orders A) to K) will have a maximum duration of 18 months. The closures and diversion routes will be clearly indicated by traffic signs. It is anticipated that the works will take the stated duration to complete depending upon weather conditions. Access will be maintained for residents and businesses where possible, although delays are likely due to the nature of the works.

Notice is hereby given that on 10 July 2024 Wiltshire Council made the above mentioned Orders under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and the Traffic Management Act 2004, the effect of which is as follows: Order 1 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Tisbury) (Street Parking Places) Order 2018 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 1 the effect of which will be to introduce Disabled Badge Holders Only Monday to Saturday 8am - 6pm 3 Hours No return within 3 hours on High Street - south west side - from a point 5 metres north west of its junction with The Old Garden Mews to a point 13 metres north west of that junction.
Order 2 - To revoke The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Tisbury) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 2018 and re-enact it, in part, in the above Order 2 the effect of which will be to introduce No Waiting at any time on High Street - south west side i) from a point 4 metres south east of its junction with The Old Harden Mews to a point 5 metres north west of that junction ii) from a point 13 metres north west of its junction with The Old Garden Mews to a point 30 metres north west of that junction. These restrictions will replace any existing restrictions currently in force in the town of Tisbury.
Order 3 - To amend The County of Wiltshire (Various Roads, Wilton) (Prohibition and Restriction of Waiting) Order 1983 the effect of which will be to remove Waiting Prohibited at all times on Russell Street - south west side - from a point 9 metres south east of a point in line with the boundary between property Nos. 8 and 20 Russell Street to a point 19 metres south east of that boundary.
A copy of the Orders can be obtained via email request to TrafficOrders@wiltshire.gov.uk. Any person aggrieved by the Orders and desiring to question the validity of the Orders or of any provision contained in the Orders on the grounds that it is not within the powers of the relevant Section of the above Act or on the grounds that any requirement of that Section or of Part III of Schedule 9 of the Act or any regulation made under the said Schedule, has not been complied with in relation to the Orders may, within six weeks of the date on which the Orders were made, make application for the purpose to the High Court. The Orders will come into operation on 22 July 2024.
