What is happening?

(Bakers Road, Ovington)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bakers Road, Ovington in the District of Braintree, from a point approximately 70m south east of its junction with Clare Road for a distance of approximately 210m in a south easterly then easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 9th August 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFLGF38L01 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach. An alternative route is available via Bakers Road, Cole Green, Gages Road, Knowl Green, Belchamp Road, Ovington Road,
Clare Road, Tilbury Road and vice versa. The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Hollow Road, Ashen)
(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hollow Road, Ashen in the District of Braintree, from its junction with Ashen Road for a distance of approximately 160m in a northerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 23rd July 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WDPWGD4T – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pole replacement works are undertaken by Openreach. An alternative route is available via Hollow Road, Ashen Road, Stoke Road, Clare Road, Moor Hall Road, School Green, The Street, Chapel Street, Baythorne End, Mill Road, Baythorne End, Ridgewell Road, Four Ash Hill, The Causeway, Ashen Road, Ridgewell Road, The Street, Foxes Road, Pannells Ash and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
