What is happening?

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – SECTION 14(1)

Notice of Temporary Traffic Order
Barford St Michael, Murreys Lane
Prohibition of Through Traffic
Date of Order: 29/07/2024
Coming into force: 05/08/2024

This Order is being introduced because of electrical cable diversion and reinforcement works which are anticipated to take until 1 September to complete.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit any vehicle proceeding in Murreys Lane. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force.

Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to premises which are only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via Church Street, Lower Street and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13949/RMF)

This Order is being introduced because of replacement of M40 bridge joints across the carriageway and associated surfacing repairs works which are anticipated to take 7 days to complete working 8pm to 5am.

The effect of the Order is to temporarily prohibit through traffic proceeding in Twyford Road. Appropriate traffic signs will be displayed to indicate when the measures are in force. Exemptions are included for emergency services and for the works and for access to property which is only accessible from the closed section of road. The alternative route for traffic is via the A4260, B4100, Mill Lane, Banbury Lane and vice versa.

This Order will remain in force for a maximum period of 18 months or until the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. (Ref: T13973/RMF)
