Northumberland, Temporary Road Closure Due To Repair Works
What is happening?
NORTHUMBERLAND COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 - SECTION 14(1) C322 WHITFIELD TO PLENMELLER WHITFIELD (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that Northumberland County Council have made an Order to prohibit the use by vehicular traffic on that section of the C322 Whitfield To Plenmeller from its junction with the U7011 to its junction with the C325 for a length of 4000 metres in the County of Northumberland. The Order is to be effective from the 22nd July 2024 until the 21st October 2024. It is expected that the road will only be closed from the 22nd July 2024 until the 1st September 2024 between the hours of 08:00 until 16:00 during this period; however, the order will remain in place until 21st October 2024.
The alternative route for vehicular traffic will be via the C322, A69.A686, C322 and vice-versa.

The closure has been requested by Northumberland County Council to construct passing places, new drainage, haunch and verge repair and ditching works. In order to minimise future disruption, other contractors may be undertaking works throughout the duration of this Order.
