ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (1) TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC
CHURCH STREET, BUBWITH
Notice is hereby given that East Riding of Yorkshire Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along Church Street, Bubwith during the following period Thursday 8 August 2024 until Friday 30 August 2024. The road closure is necessary to enable carriageway resurfacing works to be carried out in a manner consistent with ensuring the safety of the public. The Order is valid for 18 months, but it is anticipated that the works will be completed within 23 days.
The alternative route for traffic affected by the road closure will be via Main Street, Highfield Road, Street Lane, Wood Lane, Station Road, Shelford Avenue, Selby Road, Baker Drive, Hull Road, Lund Lane, Ferry Lane, Clay Lane, Gunby Road and Breighton Road.
The diversion route will be signed at the time of closure. The road will be closed to all traffic, but access will be maintained for residents and emergency vehicles up to the point of the closure, but not through it except for pedestrians.
