CITY OF WESTMINSTER - TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES

Vehicles will not be allowed to wait at any time in any of the below closed roads or roads made one-way.

Any vehicle obstructing the road/crane works will be removed. Nothing in the Orders shall apply to anything done with the permission of, or at the direction of, a police constable in uniform.

THE FOLLOWING ROADS WILL BE CLOSED TO VEHICLES for road works, all in 2024 unless stated.

Every effort will be made by the contractor to complete the work as soon as possible.

Chichester Street between Claverton Street and St George’s Square on 17 to 18 September 2024, for Council: Carriageway resurfacing by FM Conway. TTO will be valid for 12 months. Div = [1] Claverton Street, Lupus Street, St George’s Square. [2] Claverton Street, Grosvenor Road, St George’s. Square. HIGH66023.

Chiltern Street between Chiltern Street to be closed outside 20-22, on 29 July 2024 to 2 August 2024, for Utility: New Electricity Service by UK Power Networks. Div = Dorset Street, Manchester St. Special Conditions: Excavation of the footway and a small portion of the carriageway is required to install a new electricity service on behalf of No. 20-22 which does not allow enough room for vehicles to safely pass due to the road narrowing. Works would take place over 5 days, digging on day one, jointing on day two, low level concrete on day three, surface reinstatement days four & five. HIGH64127.

Conduit Place between London Street and Spring Street on 9 - 11 September 2024, for Utility: Clear blockage on our network by OCU. Div = Spring Street, Eastbourne Terrace, Cleveland Terrace, Westbourne Terrace, Craven Road, London Street. HIGH66035.

D’arblay Street between Berwick Street and Wardour Street on 6 August 2024, back-up dates 13 August 2024, for Utility: Repair and Replace Works by OCU Group. Div = Wardour Street, Noel Street, Great Marlborough Street, Regent Street, Glasshouse Street, Brewer Street, Berwick Street. HIGH64741.

Lupus Street between Grosvenor Road and Westmoreland Place on 22 July 2024 to 2 November 2024, for Utility: Medium Pressure Gas Main replacement by Cadent Gas Limited. Marylebone Lane between road closure from the junction of Bulstrode Street & Marylebone Lane to outside 98 Marylebone Lane on 12 - 17 August 2024 for Utility: Disconnection of our customers’ existing supply. We will need to excavate in the footway & carriageway outside & opposite 47 Marylebone Street, W1U 2DD by MORRISION WATER SERVICES. THE FOLLOWING ROADS WILL BE CLOSED TO VEHICLES during mobile crane work on one, some or all the stated dates, all in 2024 unless stated. Every effort is made by the crane company to complete the work as soon as possible.
