NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Various Roads in Crewe
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers proposes to make an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Crewe Road, Wistaston – For the full extent.
Nantwich Road, Wistaston – For the full extent.
Audlem Road, Hatherton – For the full extent.
Chester Road, Burland and Acton – For the full extent.
Coppice Road, Willaston – For the full extent.
Cheshire Street, Audlem – For the full extent.
Main Road, Weston and Crewe Green – For the full extent.

This order will come into operation on Monday 29 July 2024 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Thursday 31 October 2024.

NOTICE OF TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC – ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – Hassall Road, Alsager
Notice is hereby given that the Cheshire East Borough Council in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, and of all other enabling powers has made an order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit traffic.
Prohibition of traffic – Hassall Road, Alsager – From the junction of Chancery Lane to the junction of Dunnocksfold Road.
The alternative route will be via Hassall Road, Church Road, Chancery Lane and vice versa which is considered the most suitable route.
This order will come into operation on Wednesday 24 July 2024 and will continue in force for 18 months or for such less time as is necessary to complete the work to be executed in the highway, although it is anticipated that the works will be completed by Friday 30 August 2024.

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS
Public Footpath No. 4 (Part) Parish of Church Minshull
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following:
That length of Public Footpath No. 4 in the Parish of Church Minshull which commences at its junction with Lee Green Lane at OS grid reference SJ 6621 6215 and runs in a generally southerly direction for approximately approx 839 m. to its junction with Over Road at OS grid reference SJ 6634 6142
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger due to path erosion and an unsafe boardwalk.
Order continues the restriction that came into force on 28 June 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months, or until the works required on or adjacent to the footpath are completed.
ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 – TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS
Public Footpath No. 6 (Part) Coole Pilate and Footpath No. 9 Hankelow
Notice is hereby given pursuant to the provisions of Section 14 (1) (b) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, that the Cheshire East Borough Council has made an Order the effect of which will be to temporarily prohibit pedestrians on the following: That Public Footpath No.6 (Part) Coole Pilate, which commences at OS grid reference (OSGR) SJ 6595 4598 and runs in a generally north then east direction for approx. 443m. to OSGR SJ 6619 4627. That Public Footpath No.9 Hankelow, which commences at OSGR SJ 6619 4627 and runs in a generally east direction for approx. 143m. to OSGR SJ 6635 4627.
The closure is necessary to protect the public from danger due to an unsafe bridge crossing.
The Order continues the restriction that came into force on 26 June 2024 and will continue in force for a period not exceeding 6 months, or until the works required are completed, whichever is earlier.
