CAMBRIDGESHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL

NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic

(TEMPORARY Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which:

Chapel Hill and Haslingfield Road, Barrington (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-847
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Chapel Hill and Haslingfield Road, Barrington as lies between Challis Green and Chapel Hill, Haslingfield.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Challis Green – Foxton Road (C262) – Barrington Road, Foxton – A10 – Church Street, Harston – Haslingfield Road, Haslingfield – Harston Road – High Street – Church Street – Chapel Hill and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway improvements and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. 
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 August and 12 August 2024.

High Street (B1052), Linton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-972
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street (B1052), Linton as lies between Meadow Lane and Symonds Lane.
The alternative route for vehicles is via B1052 – A1307 – Bartlow Road – B1052 – Back Road – Coles Lane and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 14 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 13 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 14 August and 15 September 2024.

Cowley Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY 10MPH SPEED LIMIT) ORDER 2024-991
Is to impose a 10mph speed limit along Cowley Road, Cambridge as lies between Cowley Park and The Vitrum Building.
The Order will be effective, for safety purposes, when signs are in place indicating the speed limit along the whole or any part of the above mentioned length of road whilst works are in progress or temporarily suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 18 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 20:00hrs and 06:00hrs 19 August to 31 August 2024.

St Philips Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1011
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along St Philips Road, Cambridge as lies between numbers 3 and 7.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Cavendish Road – Wetenhall Road – Sedgwick Street.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate link box replacement and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. 
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12 August and 16 August 2024.

Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-1012
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge as lies between Campkin Road and Ramsden Square.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area B (Consolidation) Order 1993 as amended by The City of Cambridge Area B (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No.32) Order 2003, Schedule 23 – Part 2 Mandatory with flow cycle lane, King’s Hedges Road – On its northeast side from its junction with Cambridge Regional College entrance to a point 44 metres northwest of the centreline of Milton Road. King’s Hedges Road – On its southwest side from a point 15m southeast of the centreline of its junction with Campkin Road south eastwards for 7m. King’s Hedges Road – On its southwest side from a point 8m northwest of the centreline of its junction with Ramsden Square north westwards for 18m is hereby suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 August and 7 August 2024.

Barton Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1019
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Barton Road, Cambridge as lies between Woottens Farm and Woottens Close.
The alternative route for vehicles is via B1046 – High Street, Barton – A603 – A1198 – B1046 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. 
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 August and 9 August 2024.

Gwydir Street, Cambridge(TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1021
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Gwydir Street, Cambridge as lies between numbers 23 and 97.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Mill Road – A603 – Norfolk Street or via St Matthews Street – A603 – Norfolk Street .
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay lead supply and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 28 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 27 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 28 August and 30 August 2024.

School Lane and Doggett Lane, Fulbourn (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1028
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along School Lane and Doggett Lane, Fulbourn as lies between number 53 and New Barn Farm House.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Cambridge Road – Yarrow Road – Yarrow Road, Teversham – Gazelle Way – Cherry hinton Road (C233) – Airport Way – Airport Way, Fen Ditton – A1303 – Little Wilbraham Road, Stow-Cum-Quy – Little Wilbraham Road, Little Wilbraham – Six Mile Bottom Road – Wilbraham Road – A1304 – A11 – Cambridge Road, Balsham – Balsham Road, Fulbourn – Home End – Doggett Lane and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate relay lead supply and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 18 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19 August and 23 August 2024.

Pierce Lane, Fulbourn (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1033
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Pierce Lane, Fulbourn as lies between Blenheim Rise and the Haven.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Pierce Lane – High Street – School Lane – Cambridge Road – Hinton Road – Pierce Lane and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12 August and 16 August 2024.

Haverhill Road, Stapleford (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1038
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Haverhill Road, Stapleford as lies between Keepers Cottage and Gog Magog Way.
The alternative route for vehicles is via A1307 – Hinton Way – Station Road – A1301 – Bury Road – Haverhill Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. 
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12 August and 14 August 2024.

Porson Road and Barrow Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1040
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Porson Road and Barrow Road, Cambridge as lies between 59 Barrow Road and the A1134.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 27 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. 
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 27 August and 4 October 2024.

New Road, Shudy Camps (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1042
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along New Road, Shudy Camps as lies between Nosterfield End and Main Street.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Carsey Hill – Blacksmiths Lane – Nosterfield End and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 13 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 12 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. 
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:00hrs and 18:00hrs 13 August 2024.

Symonds Lane, Linton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1044
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Symonds Lane, Linton as lies between High Street and Back Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via B1052 – A1307 – High Street, Hildersham – Back Road – Back Road, Linton and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate lining and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 1 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 31 January 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 18:30hrs 1 August to 5 September 2024.

Mill End Close, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1045
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Mill End Close, Cambridge as lies between number 22 and High Street (C233).
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate footpath resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 18 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. 
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 18:30hrs 19 August to 23 August 2024.

Gransden Road, Caxton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1046
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Gransden Road, Caxton as lies between Church Farm and Ermine Street.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Gransden Road – Caxton Road, Great Gransden – Middle Street – Crow Tree Street (C177) – B1046 – A1198 and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate carriageway resurfacing and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. 
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 18:30hrs 5 August to 19 August 2024.

Hills Road (A1307), Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-1049
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Hills Road (A1307), Cambridge as lies between numbers 110 and 112.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993, Schedule 23 Cycle Lane: Part 2 mandatory with flow cycle lane, Hills Road on its west side from a point of 13 metres north of its junction with Brooklands Avenue to a point 70 metres south of its junction with Bateman Street is hereby suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate scaffolding and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 8 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 7 February 2026 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Hills Road (A1307), Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 8 August and 30 September 2024.

Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-1064
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge as lies between number 14 and Milton Road.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area B (Consolidation) Order 1993 as amended by The City of Cambridge Area B (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No. 32) Order 2003; Schedule 23 Cycle lane: Part 2 mandatory with flow cycle lane, Kings Hedges Road on its northeast side from its junction with Cambridge Regional College entrance to a point 44 metres northwest of the centreline of its junction with Milton Road is hereby suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate EV connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 February 2026 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Kings Hedges Road, Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 12 August and 21 August 2024.

Geoffrey Bishop Avenue, Fulbourn (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1070
NOTICE is given that Cambridgeshire County Council intends after seven days, to make an Order pursuant to the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by the Road Traffic
(TEMPORARY Restrictions) Act 1991, the effect of which is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Geoffrey Bishop Avenue, Fulbourn as lies between number 36 and Doggets Lane.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 18:30hrs 12 August to 30 September 2024.

Fen Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1072
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Fen Road, Cambridge as lies between points 20m either side of the railway level crossing situated there as measured from its gates or barriers.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate essential maintenance works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 31 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 28 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out overnight between 23:00hrs 31 August and 08:00hrs 1 September 2024.

Oakington Road, Westwick (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1075
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Oakington Road, Westwick as lies between Westwick Farm and The Old Granary.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Station Road – Water Lane – Cambridge Road – New Road – Park Lane, Histon – School Hill – High Street – The Green – B1049 – Rampton Road, Cottenham – Oakington Road – Oakington Road, Westwick and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 August to 9 August 2024.

Grange Road, Cambridge (TEMPORARY SUSPENSION OF CYCLE LANE) ORDER 2024-1124
Will be to temporarily suspend the cycle lane on Grange Road, Cambridge as lies between number 100 and Clarkson Road.
During the period this Order remains in force The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 as amended by The City of Cambridge Area A (Consolidation) Order 1993 (Amendment No. 84) Order 2000; Schedule 23 Cycle Lane: Part 2 mandatory with flow cycle lane, Grange Road On both sides from its junction with Herschel Road to its junction with Madingley Road is hereby suspended.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate electrical connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near the cycle lane and it will come into operation on 27 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 February 2026 whichever is the earlier.
This Order shall be in force when the signs are in place at each end of the above section of road whilst works taking place on Grange Road, Cambridge are in progress. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 27 August and 30 August 2024.

Cootes Lane, Fen Drayton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1078
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Cootes Lane, Fen Drayton as lies between numbers 32 and 33.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Mill Road – A1307 – Boxworth End, Swavesey – Rose and Crown Road – Swavesey Road, Fen Drayton – Honey Hill – High Street (C185) – Cootes Lane and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate sewer connection and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 August and 9 August 2024.

Over Road, Willingham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1079
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Over Road, Willingham as lies between Over Mereway and the B1050.
The alternative route for vehicles is via B1050 – Ramper Road, Longstanton – Over Road (C191) – Gravel Bridge Road – Longstanton Road, Over – West Street – Glover Street – Long Furlong – Willingham Road – Willingham Road, Willingham and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate drainage and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 07:30hrs and 18:30hrs 5 August to 30 August 2024.

Young Street, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1083
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Young Street, Cambridge as lies between numbers 40 and 46.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 27 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 26 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. 
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 15:30hrs 27 August 2024.

Moorfield Road, Duxford (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1084
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Moorfield Road, Duxford as lies between Mill Lane and Green Street.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Chapel Street (C284) – St Peters Street (C284) – St Peters Street – Hunts Road – A505 – Moorfield Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate water main repair and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 5 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 4 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 5 August and 8 August 2024.

Grantchester Road, Newnham (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1088
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along Grantchester Road, Newnham as lies between St Catharines & Christ’s Colleges Sports Fields and Pembroke College Sports Ground.
The alternative route for vehicles is via Grantchester Road, Cambridge – A603 – A1134 – A1309 – Maris Lane – Grantchester Road, Cambridge – Mill Way (C201), Grantchester – High Street (C201) – Broadway – Grantchester Road and vice versa.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 31 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 28 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. 
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 08:30hrs and 15:30hrs 31 August 2024.

High Street (B1052), Linton (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1092
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along High Street (B1052), Linton as lies between Green Lane and Balsham Road.
The alternative route for vehicles is via B1052 – A1307 – Horseheath Road – Horsehearth Road (C242) – High Street.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate telecommunications and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 12 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 11 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. 
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 09:30hrs and 14:30hrs 12 August to 13 August 2024.

St Matthews Gardens, Cambridge (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF THROUGH TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024-1099
Is to stop any vehicle from proceeding along St Matthews Gardens, Cambridge as lies between numbers 69 and 85.
The alternative route for vehicles is via St Matthews Gardens.
The proposed Order is necessary to facilitate gas value installation and associated works which are being carried out on or near this highway and it will come into operation on 19 August 2024 and continue until these works have finished or on the 18 February 2026 whichever is the earlier. 
It is anticipated that these works will be carried out between 19 August and 21 August 2024.
