What is happening?
BRACKNELL FOREST BOROUGH COUNCIL (VARIOUS ROADS, BRACKNELL, WARFIELD, WINKFIELD, CROWTHORNE & SANDHURST) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024
Notice is hereby given that Bracknell Forest Borough Council has made an Order, in accordance with Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding in the direction stated along the following lengths of road:
a) A330 Church Lane and Maidens Green, Winkfield, from Bracknell Road to Braziers Lane.
The diversion route for the A330 (east/west) closure will be via A330 Cocks Lane, Kingscroft Lane, Ascot Road, Drift Road, B3022 North Street, A330 Church Road, or this route reversed. And
The diversion route for Winkfield Street closure will be via A330 Church Road, A330 Pigeonhouse Lane, North Street, Drift Road, Winkfield Lane, or this route reversed.
b) College Road, Sandhurst, in both directions between Yorktown Road and Yeovil Road.
The diversion route for this closure will be via Yorktown Road, Branksome Hill Road and Yeovil Road, or this route reversed.
c) B3430 New Forest Ride, Winkfield, in both directions between Epping Way and Wareham Road roundabouts.
The diversion route for this closure will be via B3430 New Forest Ride, A329 London Road, A3095 Church Road, A3095 Bagshot Road, A322 Bagshot Road, B3430 New Forest Ride, or this route reversed.
d) Beaulieu Close, Winkfield, cul de sac only serving nos. 10-18.
e) Emery Down Close, Winkfield cul de sacs only serving nos. 9 to 19 and 21 to 33.
f) Clayhill Close, Winkfield, for its whole length.
g) Fawler Mead, Winkfield, cul de sac only serving nos. 21 to 33.
h) Cross Gates Close, Winkfield, cul de sacs serving nos.44 to 55 and 60 to 74.
i) Crofton Close, Winkfield, cul de sacs only serving nos. 6 to 24, 30 to 44 and 61 to 75.
j) Lutterworth Close, Bracknell, cul de sac only serving nos. 7 to 16.
k) Simkins Close, Winkfield, cul de sacs only serving nos 4 to 21 and 23 to 45.
I) Leicester, Bracknell, from the junction with Opladen Way to the start of the cul de sacs,
m) Melksham Close, Sandhurst, for its whole length.
n) Lewisham Close, Sandhurst, cul de sac only serving nos. 4 to 18.
o) Keynsham Way, Sandhurst, for its whole length.
p) Spinis, Bracknell, for its whole length.
q) Ringmead, Bracknell, in both directions between Hanworth Road and the roundabout junction with Ringmead at Sainsbury's.
The diversion route for this closure will be via Ringmead, Hanworth Road and Ringmead, or this route reversed. Five days and one night.
r) Byron Drive, Crowthorne, in both directions between Sandhurst
Road and Chaucer Road. Night works.
The diversion route for this closure will be via Sandhurst Road, Church Street, Waterloo Road, Dukes Ride and Byron Drive (the Kilometre, through Wellington College), or this route reversed.
s) Lovelace Roundabout, Ellesfield Avenue, Bracknell, in both directions and for its whole length. Night works.
The diversion route for this closure will be via Ellesfield Avenue, Doncastle Road, A329 Berkshire Way, Vigar Way and Peacock Lane, or this route reversed.
t) Yorktown Road and Laundry Lane, College Town, Sandhurst, from the junction with Rackstraw Road to the roundabout junction with Laundry Lane, in both directions. Night works.
The diversion route for this closure will be via Yorktown Road, A321 Marshall Road, Tank Road, Laundry Lane and Yorktown Road, or this route reversed.
u) A329 Berkshire Way, Bracknell, in an easterly direction from the Borough boundary to Doncastle Road. Night works.
The diversion route for this closure will be via B3408 London Road, Wokingham Road, A329 Millennium Way, A3095 Church Road, Bagshot Road, A322 Downshire Way, A329 Berkshire Way. Or
The diversion route for this closure will be via Jennetts Park Roundabout, Vigar Way, Peacock Lane, Ellesfield Avenue, A3095 Mill Lane.
v) County Lane, Warfield, in both directions between roundabout junction with Jigs Lane North and Cheshire Park Road. Night works.
The diversion route for this closure will be via County Lane, Harvest Ride, Westmorland Drive and County Lane, or this route reversed.
w) A322 Bagshot Road, Winkfield, in a southeasterly direction only between the junction with B3430 Nine Mile Ride and the roundabout junction with A332 Swinley Road (Swinley Gyratory) for its whole length. Night works.
The diversion route for this closure will be via B3430 Nine Mile Ride, A3095 Foresters Way, Rackstraw Road, Marshall Road, A30 London Road and A322 Bracknell Road (northbound) or Grove End (Southbound)
x) A322 Bracknell Road, Winkfield, Swinley Gyratory in a northbound direction between A322 Bagshot Road and A332 Swinley Road. Night works.
The diversion route for this closure will be via A322 Bagshot Road, B3430 New Forest Ride, A329 London Road, A332 Kings Ride and A332 Swinley Road.
Access will be maintained where possible for residents and businesses affected by this Order.
The purpose of this Order is to enable works to be executed on the road namely carriageway resurfacing works.
The Order came into operation on the 15th July 2024 and has a maximum duration of 18 months. It is currently anticipated that the resurfacing works on sites a) to x) above will be carried out between 15th July 2024 and 4th October 2024.
This Order shall only apply when the appropriate signs and markings are displayed in the road. Dated 16th July 2024
