TEMPORARY IMPLEMENTATION OF 30MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ORDER 2024
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Leicestershire County Council intends not less than 7 days from the date of this Notice to make an Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Act 1984. It is expected that the Order will come into force on 05/08/2024 and have a maximum duration of 3 months. The works will be completed within the period of the Order. The works will commence when the appropriate signs are erected and may last for up to one month. The Temporary Traffic Regulation Order is being enforced for public safety to allow Leicestershire County Council to undertake parapet upgrade work on the west side and for LCC to carry out various highway maintenance works. The proposed diversion route will be via: Junction 21 approach, Braunstone Town; M1 J21 roundabout, Blaby; Junction 21 approach Braunstone Town; Slip roads from A563 Lubbesthorpe Way r/about to A5460 Braunstone Town, r/about at the junction of Lubbesthorpe Way & Meridian South. No speed limit imposed by this order applies to vehicles falling within regulation 3(4) of the Road Traffic Exemptions (Special Forces) (Variation and Amendment) Regulations 2011 when used in accordance with regulation 3(5) of those Regulations.
