Suffolk, Multiple Traffic Notices, Stopping, Waiting and Loading Prohibitions and Restrictions and On Street Parking Places
What is happening?
SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL (DISTRICT OF SUFFOLK COASTAL) (STOPPING, WAITING AND LOADING PROHIBITIONS AND RESTRICTIONS AND ON-STREET PARKING PLACES) (MAP-BASED) ORDER 2019 (PARISH OF KESGRAVE) (VARIOUS ROADS) (PROHIBITION OF WAITING AND LOADING RESTRICTIONS) (VARIATION N0.20) ORDER 202
Suffolk County Council oroposes to make the above order under Sections 1(1) and (2), 2(1) to (3) 4(2) and Part IV of Schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, which would substitute revision 1 of Map Tile GJ134 in place of revision 0 of the same Map Tile, into the above-named 2019 order. The effect of this would be to introduce:
'No waiting at any time' on:
* both sides of Bull Drive (U3210), Kesgrave, from its junction with Wilkinson Drive, East for a distance of 10 metres
* both sides of Halls Drift (U3210), Kesgrave, from its junction with Wilkinson Drive, West for a distance of 10 metres
* both sides of Hares Close (U3210), Kesgrave, from its junction with Wilkinson Drive, South for a distance of 12 metres
* both sides of Peasey Gardens (U3210), Kesgrave, from its junction with Wilkinson Drive, West for a distance of 10 metres
* Ropes Drive (U3210), Kesgrave, on its south side:
* from a point 10 metres east of the centre of the junction with Wilkinson Drive, west for a distance of 20 metres, approximately 51 metres east of Lummis Drive
* from a point 10 metres east of the centre of the junction with Wilkinson Drive, west for a distance of 20 metres, approximately 82 metres west of Lummis Drive
* Wilkinson Drive (U3210), Kesgrave:
* on its east side from the junction with Ropes Drive, South for a distance of 10 metres
* on its west side from the junction with Ropes Drive, South for a distance of 30 metres
* on its east side from a point 10 metres north of the centre of the junction with Bull Drive, south for a distance of 20 metres
* on its west side from a point 10 metres north of the centre of the junction with Peasey Gardens, south for a distance of 20 metres
* on its south side from a point 10 metres east of the centre of the junction with Hares Close, west for a distance of 20 metres
* on its west side from a point 10 metres south of the centre of its junction with Halls Drift, north for a distance of 20 metres
* on both sides from a point approximately 61 metres north of the centre of the junction with Masterson Grove, north to its junction with Ropes Drive, for a distance of 10 metres.
'No waiting at any time and no loading/unloading 8am - 9.15am, and 3pm - 4pm Monday - Friday' on:
* both sides of Bulls Drive (U3210V Kesgrave, from its junction with Wilkinson Drive, east for a distance of 10 metres
* both sides of Walker Chase (U3210), Kesgrave, from its junction with Wilkinson Drive, north for a distance of 10 metres
* north side of Wilkinson Drive (U3210), Kesgrave, from a point of 14 metres north of the centre of the junction, with Bull Drive, generally west for a distance of 183 metres
* south side of Wilkinson Drive (U3210), Kesgrave, from a point 14 metres north of the centre of the junction with Bull Drive, generally west for a distance of 130 metres.
Exemptions to the waiting restrictions allow a vehicle to wait for so long as is necessary to board or alight or to load and unload for building, industrial or demolition works; for the maintenance of the road or its services; for emergency services; and for fulfilling statutory duties. There are the usual exemptions for Blue Badge holders. For the proposed Loading/Unloading restriction, these exemptions will not follow, unless outside of the restricted times proposed in this order, opies of the draft order, map showing the roads affected and the Council's reasons for the proposals, may be seen with advance notice at the address below, 9am - 5pm Monday - Friday; also at Kesgrave Library, Kinsey House, Kays Close, Kesgrave, IP25 2HL' between the opening hours of Monday 9am - 12pm; Tuesday 9am - 12pm, 2.30pm -"5pm; Wednesday 2.30pm - 6pm; Thursday 2.30pm 8pm; Friday 9am - 12pm, 2.30pm - 6pm; Saturday 10am - 5pm; and Sunday 10am - 3pm. Objections and any other representations relating to these proposals, specifying the grounds on which they are made, must reach Sophia Henry, Suffolk County Council Legal Services at the address below or at: sophia.henry@suffolk.gov.uk no later than 05/08/2024.
