Drumcavel Road - Temporary Road Closure For Installation Of Underground Electricity Services
What is happening?

DRUMCAVEL ROAD, GARTCOSH (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURE) ORDER 2024
On 8 July 2024 the North Lanarkshire Council made the above-named Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended by Schedule 1 of the Road Traffic (Temporary Restrictions) Act 1991, and in exercise of all other enabling powers, which makes it unlawful for any person to drive or cause or permit to be driven any motor vehicle (with the exception of vehicles engaged on installation of underground electricity services) on Drumcavel Road, Gartcosh from Lochend Road A752 to Avenuehead Road by reason of works being executed on or near that location.
Alternative routes: via Lochend Road A752, Johnston Road B804, Glenboig Road and Drumcavel Road
Pedestrian access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
Vehicular access will be maintained, where practicable, during the closure.
The Order, will come into operation at 0001 hours on Monday, 22 July 2024 and will remain in operation until 2359 hours on Sunday, 29 September 2024.
