PUBLIC NOTICE
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (U95207 Broadheath) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of U95207 Broadheath from its junction with B4204 Broadheath to its junction with U95404 Bell Lane.
Reason: Utility works by Severn Trent Water.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: U95207 Broadheath, B4204 Broadheath, U95404 Bell Lane, U95207 Broadheath and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days. Commencing: 5 August 2024.
(C2054 Welland Road, Hanley Castle) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of C2054 Welland Road from its junction with B4209 Hanley Swan to Roberts End to its junction with C2214 Gilberts End.
Reason: Replacement manhole cover by Severn Trent Water.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: C2214 Gilberts End, C2214 Gilberts End Lane, B4209 Hanley Castle, B4209 Hanley Swan to Roberts End and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 day. Commencing: 7 August 2024.
(A449 Wells Road, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Proposed Order: To close that part of A449 Wells Road from its junction with A4104 Marlbank Road to its junction with B4232 Jubilee Drive.
Reason: Carriageway resurfacing by WCC.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: A4104 Marlbank Road, B4208 Gloucester Road, B4208 Castlemorton, B4208 Coombe Green, A438 Hollybush into Herefordshire and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 1 night (20:00-06:00) between 5 August 2024 and 30 August 2024.
(U63113 Albert Road North, Malvern) (Temporary Closure) Order 2024
Order made: To close that part of U63113 Albert Road North from its junction with B4211 Church Street to its junction with C2215 Avenue Road.
Reason: New customer connection by Severn Trent Water.
Exemptions: To permit access to any land or premises fronting the highway affected where there is no other form of access; and to allow the works to be undertaken.
Alternative route: B4211 Church Street, C2215 Avenue Road and vice versa.
Maximum duration: 18 Months. Anticipated duration: 3 days (24hrs). Commencing: 17 July 2024.
Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (As Amended) (Malvern Hills District) (Civil Enforcement Area) (Waiting Restrictions and Street Parking Places) Consolidation Order 2013 (Variation) Order 2024
[Prohibition of Waiting on Bradley Drive, Malvern] On 27 June 2024 Worcestershire County Council made an Order the effect of which will be to prohibit waiting at any time on the following lengths of road in Malvern: -
Leigh Sinton Road (west side) from its junction with Bradley Drive for a distance of 17m in a northerly direction and 15M in a southerly direction.
Bradley Drive (north side) From its junction with Leigh Sinton Road for a distance of 23m in a westerly direction
Bradley Drive (south side) From its junction with Leigh Sinton Road for a distance of 23m in a westerly direction.
The Order will vary the above Consolidation Order (which provides for civil enforcement of contraventions of waiting prohibitions and restrictions) and will contain exemptions to allow parking/access for certain purposes and limited waiting by disabled persons' vehicles.
The Order will come into operation on 18 July 2024.
A copy of the Order, relevant map and Statement of Reasons for making the Order may be downloaded at the Malvern Hills Public Notice page on the Worcestershire County Council Website or inspected at Malvern Hills District Council, Council House, Avenue Road, Malvern WR14 3AF and County Hall, Spetchley Road, Worcester WR5 2NP during normal office hours.
The validity of the Council's powers in making the Order or this exercise of them may be questioned by application to the High Court within 6 weeks from the date on which the Order was made.
