Kent County Council, acting in exercise of its powers under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, makes or intends to make the following Orders.
DOVER AREA
A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, Eastry, CT14 0FH (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow roadworks to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, Eastry, on or after 5th August 2024 for up to 6 days or until the works have been completed.
A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout will be closed Northbound only. The road will be closed between the junctions of Barville Road and Dover Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via A256 Whitfield By-pass From C237 Venson Road To Entry A256 Roundabout, A256 Eastry Bypass, A256 Sandwich Road, A258 Deal Road, A258 Sandwich Road, A258 London Road, A258 Queen Street, A258 Broad Street, A258 Beach Street, A258 Prince Of Wales Terrace, A258 Deal Castle Road, A258 Victoria Road, A258 The Strand, A258 Dover Road, A258 Deal Road, A2 Between Junction With A256 And Duke Of Yorks Roundabout, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound Off, A256 Link Between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts, A256 Whitfield Bypass and A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Cannon Street, Deal, CT14 6QA (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Cannon Street, Deal, on or after 5th August 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Golf Road and Out Downs, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Cannon Street, College Road, Ark Lane, Golf Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Chapel Road & Forge Lane, Whitfield, CT16 3GT (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow drainage works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Chapel Road & Forge Lane, Whitfield, on or after 26th July 2024 for up to 1 day or until the works have been completed.
Chapel Road will be closed between the junctions of Forge Lane and Sandwich Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
Forge Lane will be closed between the junctions of Chapel Road and Beechwood Close, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Sandwich Road, Nursery Lane, Guilford Avenue, Forge Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Dover Road, Sandwich, CT13 9JP (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow gas works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Dover Road, Sandwich, on or after 24th July 2024 for up to 38 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from the railway crossing to the junction of St Bartholomews, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Dover Road, Deal Road, A258 Deal Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, Ash Road, Strand Street, High Street, The Chain, Galliard Street and New Street.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via New Street, No Name Street, Market Street, The Butchery, Harnet Street, Stand Street, Ash Road, A256 Sandwich Bypass, A258 Deal Road, Deal Road and Dover Road.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Fleming Road, Woodnesborough (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Fleming Road, Woodnesborough, on or after 7th August 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside Black Pond Cottage, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Drainless Road, Beacon Lane, Marshborough Road, New Street, The Street, Guilton, Durlock Road, Lower Road, Fleming Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Gore Lane, Eastry, CT13 0EB (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Gore Lane, Eastry, on or after 5th August 2024 for up to 5 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Gore Road and Orchard Road, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Gore Lane, Woodnesborough Lane, High Street, Mill Lane and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Mill Hill, Deal, CT14 9EU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow water works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Mill Hill, Deal, on or after 7th August 2024 for up to 8 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed outside number 82, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via Mill Hill, St Richards Road, Mongeham Road, A258 London Road, B2056 Manor Road and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Sandwich Road, Waldershare, CT15 5AU (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council intends to make an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Sandwich Road, Waldershare, on or after 8th August 2024 for up to 7 hours or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed between the junctions of Kennel Hill and Waldershare Park, between the hours of 08:30 and 15:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any Southbound through traffic is via Kennel Hill, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Link Between Whitfield Interchange Roundabouts, A2 Dover Road Slip Westbound On, A2 between Whitfield Roundabout and Junction with A256, A2 Dover Road and Sandwich Road.
The alternative route for any Northbound through traffic is via Sandwich Road, A2 Dover Road, A2 between Whitfield Roundabout and Junction with A256, A2 Dover Road Slip Eastbound Off, A256 Whitfield Bypass, A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road and Kennel Hill.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
Straight Mile, Betteshanger, CT14 0NJ (PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) TEMPORARY ORDER 2024
To allow fibre works to be carried out, Kent County Council has made an Order to temporarily prohibit through traffic on part of Straight Mile, Betteshanger, on or after 24th July 2024 for up to 3 days or until the works have been completed.
The road will be closed from Church Road to the junction of Northbourne School, between the hours of 09:00 and 17:30 only, to the extent indicated by signs and barriers on site.
The alternative route for any through traffic is via A256 Whitfield By-pass From C227 Kennel Hill To C237 Venson Road, Boys Hill, Willow Woods Road, Deal Road, Northbourne Road, Straight Mile and vice versa.
Pedestrian access will be maintained during the works.
