What is happening?

NOTICE OF PUBLIC PATHS DIVERSION ORDER

TOWN AND COUNTRY PLANNING ACT 1990 SECTION 257 AND SCHEDULE 14

MALVERN HILLS DISTRICT COUNCIL PUBLIC PATHS DIVERSION ORDER 2024

FOOTPATH GM-588 (PART) GRIMLEY, WORCESTERSHIRE

The above Order was made on 5th July 2024.

The effect of the Order will be to STOP UP the existing Footpath No.GM-588 Grimley running from Point A (grid reference 381797 260279) across farmland in a south-easterly direction to Point B (grid reference 381810 260230) where it continues as Footpath No GM-588 Grimley as shown on the Plan.

The overall length of the path is approximately 54 metres and is shown as a bold black line on the Plan.

AND CREATE a new footpath running from a pedestrian gate at Point C (grid reference 381771 260241) in a south easterly direction for approximately 41 metres to Point B (grid reference 381810 260230) all as shown on the Plan.

The new footpath shall be 2 metres in width, nominally level in its cross axis with a clear verge of 1 metre on either side and will be approximately 41 metres in length, as shown as bold black dashes on the Plan.

A copy of the Order and the Order Plan may be seen free of charge at the Council House at the address below during normal office hours. Copies of the Order and Order Plan may be bought there at a price of £2.00 each.

Any representation about or objection to the Order may be sent or delivered in writing addressed to The Director of Legal and Governance, Malvern Hills District Council, Council House, Avenue Road, Malvern WR14 3AF (ref. Legal/ GP/FP588) not later than 16th August 2024. Please state the grounds on which it is made.

If no such representations or objections are duly made, or if any so made are withdrawn, Malvern Hills District Council may itself confirm the Order as an unopposed order. If the Order is sent to the Secretary of State for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs for confirmation any representations or objections which have not been withdrawn will be sent with the Order.
