Guildford Crescent And Churchill Way - Temporary Road Closures To Facilitate Works On Or Near To The Highway And Is Expected

What is happening?

GORCHYMYN CYNGOR SIR DINAS A SIR CAERDYDD
(CILGANT GUILDFORD A FFORDD CHURCHILL , CAERDYDD) (CAU FFYRDD DROS DRO) 2024 

Ar 12 Gorffennaf 2024, mae Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd drwy arfer ei bwerau o dan Adran14(1) Deddf Rheoleiddio Traffig Ffyrdd 1984 (fel y’i diwygiwyd), a drwy’r pwerau galluogi eraill i gyd, wedi gwneud Gorchymyn fydd yn atal cerbydau rhag defnyddio neu yrru ar hyd:

I. Cilgant Guildford o’r gyffordd â Stryd Guildford am 72 metr

II. Ffordd Churchill o’r gyffordd â Stryd Guildford i’r gyffordd â Rhodfa Bute.

Mae’r Gorchymyn yn angenrheidiol i hwyluso gwaith ar y briffordd neu gerllaw, a disgwylir iddo fod yn weithredol o ddydd Mawrth 16 Gorffennaf 2024.

Dim ond ar yr adegau ac i’r graddau a nodir ar arwyddion a/neu hysbysiadau a gaiff eu harddangos y bydd y cyfyngiad dan sylw ar waith. 

Bydd y Gorchymyn yn parhau ar waith am hyd at 18 mis.

Y llwybrau amgen ar gyfer cerbydau yr effeithir arnynt gan y cau uchod fydd ar hyd Rhodfa Bute, Stryd Adam, Plas Fitzalan, Heol Knox, Heol Fitzalan, Heol Casnewydd, Rhodfa’r Orsaf neu ar hyd Heol Mary Ann, Heol David, Ffordd Churchill, Stryd Ogleddol Edward, Heol Casnewydd, Plas Fitzalan, Stryd Adam, Rhodfa Bute. 

Bydd mynediad at gampws Prifysgol De Cymru yn cael ei reoli gan weithredwyr ar y safle. 

Enw’r Gorchymyn hwn yw “Gorchymyn Cyngor Sir Dinas a Sir Caerdydd (Cilgant Guildford a Ffordd Churchill, Caerdydd) (Cau Ffyrdd Dros Dro) 2024”.

THE COUNTY COUNCIL OF THE CITY AND COUNTY OF CARDIFF 
(GUILDFORD CRESCENT AND CHURCHILL WAY, CARDIFF) (TEMPORARY ROAD CLOSURES) ORDER 2024

On the 12th July 2024, The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff in exercise of its powers under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 (as amended), and of all other enabling powers, made an Order the general effect of which is to prevent any vehicle from using or proceeding along: 

I. Guildford Crescent from its junction with Guildford Street for a distance of 72 metres

II. Churchill Way from its junction with Guildford Street to its junction with Bute Terrace

The Order is necessary to facilitate works on or near to the highway and is expected to be in operation from Tuesday 16th July 2024

The restriction specified will only have the effect at such times and to such extent as indicated by the display of signs and/or notices. The Order will remain in force for a maximum of 18 months.

The alternative routes for vehicles affected by the above closures will be via Bute Terrace, Adam Street, Fitzalan Place, Knox Road, Fitzalan Road, Newport Road and Station Terrace or via Mary Ann Street, David Street, Churchill Way, North Edward Street, Newport Road, Fitzalan Place, Adam Street and Bute Terrace.

Access to the University of South Wales campus will be managed by operatives on site. 

This Order is known as “The County Council of the City and County of Cardiff (Guildford Crescent and Churchill Way, Cardiff) (Temporary Road Closures) Order 2024”.
