The City Of Manchester - Temporary Road Traffic Regulation Order To Facilitate A Crane
What is happening?
MANCHESTER CITY COUNCIL TEMPORARY ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ORDER ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984 SECTION 14 (AS AMENDED)
Notice is hereby given that the City Council intends, in not less than seven days from the date of this Notice, to make the following Temporary Road Traffic Order(s):
ORDER NO. MCC139144540: The City of Manchester (Parsonage, Deansgate Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Parsonage from Back College Land to Blackfriars Street (Dead End). The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate a crane. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 28th July 2024 only. The order shall come into operation on 28th July 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period.

ORDER NO. MCC139145389: The City of Manchester (Silver Street & Major Street, Piccadilly Ward)(Temporary Prohibition of Vehicular Traffic) Order 2024 under s14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the Order is to prohibit vehicular traffic on Silver Street & Major Street from Chorlton Street to Minshull Street. The alternative routes for traffic will be: Minshull Street, Portland Street, Chorlton Street, Bloom Street. The City Council is satisfied that this prohibition is necessary in order to facilitate carriageway resurfacing. It is expected that the works will be in progress on the 28th July 2024 only. The order shall come into operation on 28th July 2024 and may remain in force for a maximum period of eighteen months. If all necessary works are completed within a shorter period, the Order shall cease to have effect at the end of that shorter period. Kevin Gillham.
