What is happening?

SUFFOLK COUNTY COUNCIL ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT 1984: SECTION 14

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C407 CHAPEL ROAD, OLD NEWTON

Suffolk County Council Intends to make an order closing the C407 Chapel Road, Old Newton from Ash Tree Farm for 60 metres south westbound to facilitate replacing a telegraph pole. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Chapel Road, Church Road, Stowmarket Road, Newton Road, Stowupland Road, Church Road. Saxham Street, Stowupland Road Gipping, Old Newton Road Gippinq, Gipping Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate on 22/07/2024 from 8.30am - 3.30pm but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Sunbelt Rentals. Tel: 0370 050 0792.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U5522 WELLINGTON ROAD, EYE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U5522 Wellington Road, Eye from no. 29 for 60 metres westbound to facilitate the installation of telecommunication ducting. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period! Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Church Street, Broad Street, Lambseth Street and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/07/2024 -24/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to C and L Construction Ltd. Tel: 07549 856716.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C529 COCKS ROAD, EYE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C529 Cocks Road, Eye from 1 metre southwest of the junction with Hoxne Road for 40 metres south westbound to facilitate a new water connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be Cranley Road, Mill Road, Church Road, Green Lane, Redlingfield Road, Woriingworth Road, the B1117 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/07/2024 -24/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Core Highways Ltd. Tel: 0330 043 3030.

TEMPORARY 40MPH SPEED RESTRICTION ON PART OF THE B1113 NEEDHAM ROAD, STOWMARKET

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 40mph speed restriction on the B1113 Needham Road, Stowmarket from the A1120 Roundabout for 898 metres north eastbound and from 616 metres north westbound from Bradley Walk for 898 metres north westbound to facilitate safety during installation of a new telecoms cable. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

It is intended that these measures will operate from 23/07/2024 -25/07/2024 from 9pm - 5am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Sunbelt Rentals. Tel: 0370 050 0792.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF FOOTWAY 8, FELIXSTOWE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing Footway 8, Felixstowe from no. 10 Windermere Road to Kingsffeet Primary School to facilitate gas main replacement works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. The diversion route will be Westmorland Road, Western Avenue, Keswick Close, Tarn Hows Close, Footpath 38680050 St Georges Road, Ferry Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3637 OLD BREDFIELD ROAD, UFFORD

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3637 Old Bredfield Road, Ufford from no. 2 Parklands for 130 metres westbound to facilitate a new electrical connection. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Old Bredfield Road, Yarmouth Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/07/2024 -26/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Highway Safety Management. Tel: (01473) 554385.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U3630 BREDFIELD STREET, WOODBRIDGE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U3630 Bredfield Street, Woodbridge from the junction with Castle Street to the junction with Theatre Street to facilitate fibre installation works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Castle Street, St Johns Hill, New Street, Theatre Street, Angel Lane and no vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C328 BEALINGS ROAD, MARTLESHAM

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C328 Bealings Road, MartJesham from Beacons Hill for 30 metres eastbound to facilitate tree cutting works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists. The diversion route will be Main Road, Hall Road, Martlesham Road and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C433 LOWER ROAD, ONEHOUSE

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the following roads in the following phases:

1. C433 lower Road, Onehouse from the Public House for 520 metres north westbound

2. C433 Lower Road, Onehouse from The Cedar House for 380 metres north eastbound.

This is to facilitate cable works for telecommunication service. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Lower Road, Finborough Road, Onehouse Road, Union Road, Starhouse Lane, Forest Road, Haughley Road, Shelland Road, Shelland Green, The Heath, Heath Road, Church Street, Green Road, The Green, RattJesden Road, Woolpit Road, Stowmarket Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/07/2024 -26707/2024 from 7pm - 6am but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to C and L Construction Ltd. Tel: 07549 856716.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C559 NORTON ROAD THURSTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C559 Norton Road, Thurston from the junction with Ixworth Road to the junction with Meadow Lane to facilitate utility connection to the new development Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Ixworth Road, The Street, Fen Road, Bull Road, the A1088 and vice versa.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE A1302 TAYFEN ROAD, BURY ST EDMUNDS

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the A1302 Tayfen Road, Bury St Edmunds from The Lantern to the junction with Station Hill to facilitate installation of sewage and water pipes. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this penod. Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the A143, the A1302, the A14 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 22/07/2024 - 05/08/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister).

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE B1122 STATION ROAD, LEISTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the B1122 Station Road, Leiston from the junction with Westward Ho to the junction with Buller Road to facilitate surveying the level crossing. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be the B1122, the A12, the B1121, the B1119 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from:

  • 22/07/2024
  • 27/08/2024-30/08/2024.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE C449 BILDESTON ROAD, COMBS

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the C449 Bildeston Road, Combs from Combs Footpath 001 to Combs Foofpath 085 to facilitate electrical works. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Bildeston Road, Straight Road, Deadmans Lane, Moats Tye, Tannery Road, Park Road and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate from 23/07/2024 -24/07/2024 but, if necessary, the order may remain in force for 18 months (or longer if extended by the Minister). Enquiries should be made to Highway Safety Management. Tel: (01473) 554385.

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF PART OF THE U2417 BUCKLESWOOD LANE, THEBERTON

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order closing the U2417 Buckleswood Lane, Theberton from the B1119 for 50 metres northbound to facilitate survey works relating to the level crossing upgrade. Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.

Access will be open for pedestrians and cyclists.

The diversion route will be Abbey Lane, the B1121, the B1119 and vice versa.

It is intended that the closure will operate in the following phases:

  • 23/07/2024
  • 02/09/2024 - 05709/2024.

Suffolk County Council intends to make an order for a temporary 40 mph speed restriction on the B1084 Sudbourne Road, Orford from the junction with Hospital Road to the junction with Mill Broadway to facilitate fibre installation.

Other co-ordinated works may also take place during this period.
