Walsall - Various Road Traffic Restrictions Whilst Essential Works Are Carried Out

ROAD TRAFFIC REGULATION ACT, 1984 – SECTION 14(1) AS AMENDED BY THE ROAD TRAFFIC 

(TEMPORARY RESTRICTIONS) ACT, 1991 (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF VEHICULAR TRAFFIC) ORDER NO.3 JULY 2024

 Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this notice, to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicle from proceeding in that length of:

 • BANKSIDE WAY, ALDRIDGE that is situated from its junction with High Croft to its junction with Greenwood Road (Monday 22 July 2024 – Wednesday 24 July 2024). 

Reason for Order: Remedial work to rectify a reinstatement. 

Works on behalf of: Severn Trent Water.

 • LONG STREET, WALSALL that is situated from its junction with Brook Street to its junction with Bridgeman Street (0900 – 1600 on Monday 22 July 2024). 

Reason for Order: Repair BT equipment. 

Works on behalf of: BT 

• STUBBERS GREEN ROAD, SHELFIELD that is situated from its junction with Barns Lane to its junction with Brook Meadow Road. (Monday 29 July 2024 – Wednesday 31 July 2024).

 Reason for Order: Repair burst water main. 

Works on behalf of: South Staffordshire Water 

• JESSIE ROAD, ALDRIDGE that is situated from its junction with Lancaster Avenue to its junction with Kent Close. (Monday 29 July 2024 – Friday 9 August 2024) 

Reason for Order: Service works.

 Works on behalf of: National Grid 

• WIMPERIS WAY, PHEASEY from its junction with Beacon Road to its junction with Beacon Road (Service Road fronting Nos 221- 225). (Monday 29 July 2024 – Friday 9 August 2024). 

Reason for Order: Cabling works in carriageway.

Works on behalf of: National Grid. 

This Order will come into operation on Monday 22 July 2024. 

It is anticipated that the work will be completed as close as possible to the dates above. Signed diversion routes (viewable on the website one.network) will be in operation for affected traffic. 

The Order will remain in force for a period of up to eighteen months or until the work is completed, whichever is the earlier.
