(Footpath 15, Little Easton and Footpath 16, Great Dunmow)
(Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close Footpath 15, Little Easton and Footpath 16, Great Dunmow in the District of Uttlesford. As below.

The Order will come into effect on 25 July 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Walden Road, Sewards End) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Walden Road, Sewards End in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 145m north west of its junction with Cole End Lane for a distance of approximately 30m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 30th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX04411023636 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while stop tap replacement works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via Walden Road, Radwinter Road, Walden Road, Sampford Road, Walden Road, Moor End Road, High Street, Hill Road, Thaxted Road, Great Sampford Road, Walden Road, Thaxted Road, Radwinter Road, Walden Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Debden Road, Widdington) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Debden Road, Widdington in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Wigginton Road for a distance of approximately 60m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th August 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC411SA001WFIJL963F – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while replacement works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Debden Road, High Street, London Road, Widdington Road and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Hollow Road, Widdington) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Hollow Road, Widdington in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 400m south west of its junction with Wood End for a distance of approximately 110m in a south westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 6th August 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX05610225983 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.
An alternative route is available via North Hall Road, London Road, Widdington Road, Spring Hill, High Street and vice versa (with access only into Hollow Road and Crabtree Hill).
The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Long Lane, Arkesden) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Long Lane, Arkesden in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Newland End Lane to its junction with Royston Road a distance of approximately 1330m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH10004703 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while brick parapet repairs works are undertaken by Essex County Council.
An alternative route is available via Royston Road, Arkesden Road, Wenden Road, Newland End Lane and vice versa.
The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Stebbing Road, Stebbing) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Stebbing Road, Stebbing in the District of Uttlesford, from a point approximately 530m north west south west of its junction with New Pasture Lane for a distance of approximately 55m in a north westerly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2024 for 8 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MX06054328/AP – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new water supply works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

1. Stebbing Road, Warehouse Road, Watchhouse Road, High Street, The Downs, Pulford Place, B1057, B1053, A131, A120, A120 J B1256/B1417 Leave W, B1256, Braintree Road, B1417, B1256 Stebbing Green, Stebbing Road.
2. Stebbing Road, Stebbing Green, B1256, A120 J B1256/ B1417 Leave E, A120, A131, B1053, B1057, Pulford Place, The Downs, High Street, Watchhouse Road, Warehouse Road, Stebbing Road.
The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Bartlow Road, Hadstock) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Bartlow Road, Hadstock in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Moules Lane for a distance of approximately 150m in a south easterly then north easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th July 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (BC00813JUNEASXT267B – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Openreach.
An alternative route is available via Bartlow Road, Linton Road, Hadstock Road, The Grip (B1052), Linton Bypass, Bartlow Road, Dean Road, Hadstock Road, Bartlow Road and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
(Newland End Lane, Church Hill, Quicksie Hill & Wenden Road, Arkesden) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024
Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
Effect of the order:
1. To temporarily close that length of Newland End Lane, Arkesden in the District of Uttlesford, from its junction with Wenden Road for a distance of approximately 160m in a north westerly direction.
2. To temporarily close that length of Church Hill, Quicksie Hill and Wenden Road, from the junction from a point approximately 340m east of the junction with Hampit Road for a distance of approximately 390m in a north easterly direction.
The closures are scheduled to commence on 23rd July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WF7JW46W, WF7JW46W01, WF7JW46W02 & WF7JW46W03 – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closures are required for the safety of the public and workforce while cabling works are undertaken by Openreach.
Alternative routes are available via
1. Newland End Lane, Hampit Road and Church Hill and vice versa.
2. Wenden Road, Arkesden Road, Royston Road, Station Road, London Road, Mutlow Hill, Cambridge Road, Belmont Hill, High Street, Wicken Road, Clatterbury Lane, Main Street, Church Lane and vice versa.
The Order came into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.
