Church Street (D266) Effingham
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Church Street (D266) Effingham as extends from its junction with (D265) Lower Road and for a distance of 40 metres in a southerly direction along Church Street; and; (b) Suspend the 7.5 tonne weight restriction for heavy commercial vehicles in The Street (C43) Effingham imposed by “The County Council of Surrey (Various Roads in Effingham) (Weight Restriction) Order 1983” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in this Notice.
Alternative Route: Lower Road, Manor House Lane, (A246) Guildford Road, and The Street, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate utility connection works for, or on behalf of J and G Traffic Ltd. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 8 days between the hours of 8am and 4pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Forest Road (C42) East Horsley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Forest Road (C42) East Horsley as extends from its junction with the access to the property known as “Briar Cottage” to its junction with (X865) Glendene Avenue; and (b) Suspend the 7.5 tonne weight restriction for heavy commercial vehicles in The Street (C43) Effingham imposed by “The County Council of Surrey (Various Roads in Effingham) (Weight Restriction) Order 1983” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in part (b) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Forest Road, Howard Road, Effingham Common Road, The Street, (A246) Guildford Road, (B2039) Ockham Road South, and Forest Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate utility works for, or on behalf of UKPN. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 3 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Wisley Lane (D241) Wisley
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Wisley Lane (D241) Wisley as extends from its junction with (X241) Deers Farm Close to its junction with (X241) Wisley Lane Access to The Square.
Alternative Route: (1) (A3) Portsmouth Road (Ockham), (A3) Portsmouth Road (Wisley), take 4th exit back onto (A3) Portsmouth Road (Wisley), (A3) Portsmouth Road (Ockham), (B2039) Portsmouth Road, (B2215) Portsmouth Road, (B2215) High Street, (B367) Newark Lane, (B367) Church Hill, (B367) Upshot Lane, Engliff Lane, Boltons Lane, Pyford Road, Lock Lane, and Wisley Lane; (2) Wisley Lane, Lock Lane, Pyford Road, Boltons Lane, Engliff Lane, (B367) Upshot Lane, (B367) Church Hill, (B367) Newark Lane, (B2215) High Street, (B2215) Portsmouth Road, (B2039) Portsmouth Road, and (A3) Portsmouth Road (Ockham).
This Order is required to facilitate water utility works for, or on behalf of Affinity Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 8am and 6pm within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 23 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Barley Mow Road (D3126) Englefield Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 10 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Barley Mow Road (D3126) Englefield Green as extends from its junction with (A328) St Judes Road to its junction with (D3126) Bulkeley Close.
Alternative Route: Barley Mow Road, Middle Hill, and (A328) St Judes Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate gas connection works for, or on behalf of Cadent Gas. These works are anticipated to be carried out over 7 days, between the hours of 8am and 5pm within 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 24 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route.
St Judes Road (A328) Englefield Green
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
On 10 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of the northbound carriageway of St Judes Road (A328) Englefield Green from its junction with (D7001) Bagshot Road to its junction with (D3120) Bond Street; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council St Judes Road (A328) Englefield Green Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: (1) St Judes Road, (A30) Egham Hill, (A30) Egham By-pass, (A308) Windsor Road, (A328) Priest Hill, and St Judes Road; (2) St Judes Road, (A328) Priest Hill, (A308) Windsor Road, (A30) Egham By-pass, (A308) The Glanty, (A30) Egham By-pass, (A30) Egham Hill, and St Judes Road.
This Order is required to facilitate gas mains replacement works for, or on behalf of Morrisons Utilities.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 9 weeks between the hours of 7am and 7pm during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 July 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, via road plates, if required as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Fulbrook Lane (D89) Godalming
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.1) 2024
On 10 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in the entire length of; (a) Fulbrook Lane (D89) Godalming; and (b) Suspend “The Surrey County Council Various Roads in Waverley Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order (No.6) 2023” insofar as it affects that length of road specified in Part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Suffield Lane, Littleworth Road, Sands Road, Botany Hill, Camp Hill, Crooksbury Road, and (B3001) Farnham Road, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to carry out utility works for, or on behalf of South East Water.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 10 days, between 8am and 5pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 22 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in force 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
Due to the nature of the works, it will not be possible to maintain vehicular access through the closure, and all vehicular traffic, including the emergency services will be required to use the signed diversion route. No sole access will be affected by this closure.
Byfleet Road (A318) New Haw
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Byfleet Road (A318) New Haw as extends from its junction with (X6159) Westfield Parade to its junction with the access to “West Weybridge Substation” and “Addlestone Quarry”.
Alternative Route – A318 Byfleet Road; Woodham Lane; Scotland Bridge Road; Camphill Road; A245 Parvis Road; A318 Sopwith Drive/Barnes Wallis Drive/Oyster Lane; and A318 Byfleet Road.
The Order is required to facilitate the installation of a new electrical transformer and/or any other associated works to be carried out by, or on behalf of National Grid and Mammoet within the length of road described in this notice.
These works are anticipated to be carried over 1 day between the hours of 7am and 5pm within the 12-month period of operation of the Temporary Order that commences on 03 August 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, the emergency services, pedestrians, and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times.
D4001 Linkway, Guildford
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D4001 Linkway, Guildford that extends from the northern property boundary of “No.23 Linkway”, to the southern property boundary of “No.27 Linkway”.
Alternative route – Linkway, Woodside Road, Roundhill Way, Fairfield Rise and Linkway.
This Traffic Order is required to enable UK Power Networks and/or ALS Civil Engineers Limited to make a new electrical connection and/or to carry out cabling and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 8am and 6pm, within 3 days of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 07 August 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure which is anticipated to be required for 24 hours each day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency services, residents, businesses, pedestrians, cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times.
D6842 Church Road, Claygate – Esher
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2023
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of D6842 Church Road, Claygate – Esher that extends from the northern side of its junction with C158 The Green, to the southern side of its junction with D6842 The Causeway.
This Traffic Order is required to enable Cappagh Contractors to carry out sewer cover replacement on behalf of Thames Water and/or remedial works to the highway and/or maintenance works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out between the hours of 10am and 3pm, within 1 day of the 12 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 09 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for pedestrians will be maintained at all times.
Access for emergency services, residents and businesses will be maintained via the vehicular diversion route: – Coverts Road, Foley Road, Hare Lane and Claygate High Street. Access for cyclists and equestrians will be maintained at all times via The Causeway, Common Road, St Leonards Road and The Green.
Sample Oak Lane (D216) Chilworth
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Sample Oak Lane (D216) Chilworth which extends from its junction with Dorking Road (A248) to the southwestern property boundary line of “Orchard Cottages”.
Alternative Route – Sample Oak Lane (D216), Blackheath Lane (D211), Wonersh Common (B2128), Wonersh Common Road (B2128), New Road (A248) and Dorking Road (A248).
This Order is required to allow Network Rail to carry out railway works, which is anticipated to be completed within 3 days, between 10:00pm and 6:00am, during the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 31 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for emergency vehicles and residents will be maintained at all times.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be marshalled across. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Sheep Walk (D6283) Shepperton
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above-mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Sheep Walk (D6283) Shepperton which extends from its junction with Chertsey Road (B375) to its junction with Thornhill Way (D6279).
Alternative Route – Sheep Walk (D6283), Laleham Road (B376), High Street (B376), Renfree Way (B375) and Chertsey Road (B375) or the same route in reverse.
This Order is required to allow BT Openreach to carry out telecom works, which is anticipated to be completed within 2 days, between 10:30am and 4:30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 01 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for emergency vehicles, residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. All other vehicular traffic will be required to use the signed diversion route.
Fairfield Avenue (D3282) and Mooremede Crescent (D3282) Staines Upon Thames
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Fairfield Avenue (D3282) Staines Upon Thames as extends from its junction with (A308) London Road to its junction with (D3282) Mooremede Crescent; and (b) Mooremede Crescent (D3282) Staines Upon Thames as extends from its junction with (D3282) Fairfield Avenue to its junction with (X68519) The Oaks: and (c) Suspend “The Spelthorne Borough Council (Fairfield Avenue, Staines) (One Way Traffic) Order 1983” insofar as affects the length of road described in part (a) of this Notice.
Alternative Route: Fairfield Avenue.
This Order is required to facilitate mobile crane works for, or on behalf of Trident Lifting Solutions Ltd.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 4 days, between the hours of 7am and 7pm, within 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 08 August 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 hours per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. Access for residents, pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Hare Lane (D5400) Farncombe as extends from its junction with (A3100) Meadrow to its junction with (D5414) Wolseley Road.
Alternative Route: St Johns Street, Farncombe Street, Nightingale Road, Chalk Road, and (A3100) Meadrow, or this route in reverse.
This Order is required to facilitate telegraph pole replacement works for, or on behalf of I and A Communications.
These works are anticipated to be carried out over 2 days, between the hours of 9.30am and 4pm, during the 12-month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 05 August 2024. Advanced warning signs will be displayed, and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access by emergency service vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.
Godalming Road (B2130) Loxhill
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Godalming Road (B2130) Loxhill between its junction with Warwick Lane and its junction with Public Footpath No.204 (Hascombe).
This Order is required to enable Lanes Group to facilitate sewer cleaning works, which is anticipated to be completed within 5 days, between 9.30am and 3.30pm, during the 12 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access to premises within the affected length of road including access by emergency vehicles to these properties will be maintained at all times, as will access for pedestrians and cyclists.

Alternative Route 2 – Godalming Road, The Street, Hascombe Road, Brighton Road, Flambard Way, Bridge Road, Meadrow, Guildford Road, Old Portsmouth Road, Broadford Road, left hand turn onto A281, roundabout back due to no right hand turn from Broadford Road onto A281: Horsham Road, High Street, Rooks Hill, Horsham Road A281, Barriehurst Lane, Dunsfold Road and Godalming Road.
D4003 Walnut Tree Close and D4003 Woodbridge Meadows, Guildford
Temporary (Suspension) Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Order under Section 14(1) and 14(7) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be to suspend Article 2 of “The Surrey County Council Woodbridge Meadows (D4003) and Walnut Tree Close (D4003) Guildford (One-Way System and Contra-Flow Cycle Lane) (No.1) Traffic Regulation Order 2023” that imposes a one-way system for vehicular traffic in D4003 Walnut Tree Close and D4003 Woodbridge Meadows, Guildford.
This Traffic Order is required by Surrey County Council to maintain access 24hrs a day to residential properties and businesses during temporary road closures which will be in place along Walnut Tree Close to facilitate and carriageway and footway reconstruction works.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Temporary Order that commences on 31 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary suspension will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed. N.B. Multi-way traffic signals will be in place to manage access through the suspended restriction.
Beauchamp Road (D6918) Road East and West Molesey
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of; (a) Beauchamp Road (D6918) West Molesey as extends from its junction with (D6916) Seymour Road to its junction with (D6919) Spring Gardens; and (b) Beauchamp Road (D6918) East Molesey as extends from its junction with (D6916) Seymour Road and for a distance of 20 metres in an easterly direction.
This Order is required to facilitate installation of road tables and zebra crossing works for, or on behalf of Surrey County Council.
These works are anticipated to be carried out as soon as possible, within the 12-month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 29 July 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed; and the temporary closure, which is anticipated to be in operation 24 per day, will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Any vehicle found to be obstructing the highway during these works will be removed to outside the limits of the works after all reasonable methods have been undertaken to identify and contact the vehicle’s owner.
Access for residents, pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times, as will access for emergency service vehicles in an emergency situation only. All other vehicular traffic will be required to follow the alternative diversion route.
Alternative Route: (1) Nightingale Road, Molesey Park Road, Spencer Road, and Beauchamp Road (East Molesey); (2) Seymour Road, (B369) Walton Road, Spencer Road, and Beauchamp Road (East Molesey).
Manor Road North (D6814) Hinchley Wood
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
Surrey County Council propose to make the above mentioned Temporary Traffic Order under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 the effect of which will be to prohibit vehicles from entering or proceeding in that length of Manor Road North (D6814) Hinchley Wood which extends from its junction with A309 Kingston By-Pass northwards for a distance of 50m.
This Order is required to enable Surrey County Council to facilitate speed limit installation and lining works and/or major maintenance works which is anticipated to be completed between 8pm and 6am, as soon as possible within the 18 month period of operation of this Order which will commence on 1 August 2024.
Advanced warning signs will be displayed and the temporary closure will only operate when the relevant traffic signs are displayed.
Access for pedestrians and cyclists will be maintained at all times. Access to premises within the affected length of road, including access for emergency service vehicles to these properties, will be maintained when safe to do so and if necessary via the signed diversion route. In the event that it is necessary to restrict any access at any time under Section 3 of the Act, the road can only be closed for a maximum of 8 hours in any 24-hour period.

Public Footpath No. 557 & Byway Open to All Traffic (BOAT) 517
(Albury); Footpath No. 35 (Guildford), BOAT 514 (Shere) and Footpath No. 556 (St Martha)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 28th June Surrey County Council made an Order to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along:
i) Footpath No. 557 (Albury) from (Grid Ref. 504151 148766) in a southerly direction for approximately 20 metres to (Grid Ref. 504149 148750)
ii) BOAT 517 (Albury) from (Grid ref. 504630 148649) in a southerly direction for approximately 10 metres to (Grid ref. 504631 148637)
iii) Public Footpath 35 (Guildford) from (Grid ref. 500823 149003) in a south easterly direction for approximately 15 metres to (Grid ref. 500836 148994).
iv) BOAT 514 (Shere) from (Grid Ref. 507245 148283) in a southerly direction for approximately 140 metres to (Grid Ref. 507270 148146).
v) Footpath 556 (St Martha) from (Grid ref. 503390 148782) in a northerly direction for approximately 15 metres to (Grid Ref. 503389 148788)
The Order is necessary by reason of danger to the public due to the installation of a water pipeline from Guildford to Shere, which crosses the above-mentioned rights of way. It will be in operation from 28 June until 28 December 2024 or until completion of the works, if earlier, and while the relevant notices are displayed. The Secretary of State for Transport can extend that period if required.
Works will commence at each separate site throughout the period of closure on a staggered basis and it is not expected for all paths to be closed for the entire period. Signage will be provided at each site to give further details to users on the expected period of closure for each path.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when this appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
Short alternative routes within 20 metres of the definitive line of the paths will be provided and these will be indicated by signage on site. For the BOAT 517 (Albury) the alternative is for pedestrians only; for BOAT 514 (Shere), there is no suggested alternative for motorised vehicles.
The Order is necessary by reason of danger to the public due to the installation of a water pipeline from Guildford to Shere, which crosses the above-mentioned rights of way. It will be in operation from 28 June until 28 December 2024 or until completion of the works, if earlier, and while the relevant notices are displayed. The Secretary of State for
Transport can extend that period if required. Works will commence at each separate site throughout the period of closure on a staggered basis and it is not expected for all paths to be closed for the entire period. Signage will be provided at each site to give further details to users on the expected period of closure for each path.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when this appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
Short alternative routes within 20 metres of the definitive line of the paths will be provided and these will be indicated by signage on site. For the BOAT 517 (Albury) the alternative is for pedestrians only; for BOAT 514 (Shere), there is no suggested alternative for motorised vehicles.

Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 25 July 2024 Surrey County Council will make the above-mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along the length of Public Footpath No. 9 (Guildford).
The Order is necessary due to works to supply new electrical connection taking place on or near the highway.
The closure will be in operation for a period of 24 days, starting on 29 July 2024, or until completion of the works, if earlier. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route for traffic from the junction of Public Footpath No.9 and Woodside Road is along Woodside Road and Linkway. The alternative route for traffic from the junction of Public Footpath No. 9 and Linkway will be the reverse of the route described above.
The alternative route for traffic from the junction of Public Footpath No. 9 with Linkway and the point where it meets The Spinney, is along Linkway, Woodside Road and Southway. The alternative route for traffic from The Spinney will be the reverse of the route described above.

Public Footpath No. 364 (Cranleigh)
Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024
On 4 July 2024 Surrey County Council made the above mentioned temporary order, the effect of which is to prohibit all traffic on foot or by any other means from entering or proceeding along that length of Public Footpath No. 364 (Cranleigh) which extends for about 960 metres in a north-easterly direction from its junction with Barhatch Road (Grid ref: 506865 139 686) to its junction with Public Bridleway 361 (Cranleigh) (Grid ref: 507567 140235).
The Order is necessary to enable a special event to take place, namely the Cranleigh Agricultural Show. The closure will be in operation for a period of 3 days from 12 July 2024. That period can be extended by the Secretary of State for Transport if required.
The temporary closure will only be in operation when appropriate road traffic signs are displayed on site by the County Council or an authorised person acting on its behalf. Access to properties will not be affected.
The alternative route for traffic from the western end of the closure will be:
Head east along Bookhurst Road for about 625 metres, then turn left and head in a generally northerly direction, following Public Bridleway 361 (Cranleigh) for about 765 metres, until you reach Public Footpath 364 (Cranleigh).
The alternative route for traffic from the eastern end of the closure will be the reverse of the route described above.
“The Surrey County Council Public Footpath No. 364 (Cranleigh) Temporary Prohibition of Traffic Order 2024” has been made by the County Council under Section 16A of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.
