Essex County Council

(Footpath 39, Myland) (Temporary Prohibition of Use) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close to all pedestrians Footpath 39, Myland in the City of Colchester, from its junction with footpath 38, northwest for a distance of approximately 315 metres.

The closure is scheduled to commence on 11 July 2024 to 22 December 2024 where appropriate signs are showing and weather permitting. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce whilst construction works are undertaken.

No alternative route is available.

The Order will come into effect on the 18 July 2024 and may continue in force for 6 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is earlier.

(Coach Road, Great Horkesley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Coach Road, Great Horkesley in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 640m south east of its junction with Old House Road for a distance of approximately 50m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th August 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (AD0316426973 – Anglian Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while pipe repair works are undertaken by Anglian Water.

An alternative route is available via Old House Road, The Causeway, Nayland Road and vice versa (with access only into Coach Road).

The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is earlier.

(Lodge Lane, Ardleigh) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Lodge Lane, Ardleigh in the District of Tendring, from its junction with Wick Lane to its junction with Crown Lane North a distance of approximately 1170m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 5th August 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2364517 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while carriageway patching works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Crown Lane North, Old Ipswich Road, Wick Lane and vice versa.

The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is earlier.

(Queen Street, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Queen Street, Colchester in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 125m south west of its junction with Culver Street East for a distance of approximately 21m in a north westerly direction into the carpark entrance. The closure is scheduled to commence on 7th August 2024 for 1 night (20:00-05:00), or where stated on a valid permit (BC008WFGP4D1P-ETH – Openreach). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while civils and duct laying works are undertaken by Openreach.

(Wet Lane, Boxted) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council intends, not less than seven days from the date of this notice, to make the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Wet Lane, Boxted in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 265m south east of its junction with Church Road for a distance of approximately 9m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 8th August 2024 for 1 day, or where stated on a valid permit (EC30011279619 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while installation of a new electricity supply works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

An alternative route is available via Green Lane, Boxted Church Road, Church Road and vice versa (with access only into Wet Lane).

The Order will come into effect on 18th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is earlier.

(Fingringhoe Road, Colchester/Rowhedge)

(Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Fingringhoe Road, Colchester/Rowhedge in the City of Colchester, from the junction of Speedwell Road to the junction of Weir Road a distance of approximately 1180m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 25th July 2024 for 2 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2365166 & EP201EH2365166A – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while drainage defect repairs works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Fingringhoe Road, Rowhedge Road, Chapel Road, Abberton Road, Mersea Road, Blackheath, Botolphs Circus, Magdalen Street, Military Road, Old Heath Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is earlier.

(Kelvedon Road, Tiptree) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Kelvedon Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from its junction with Oak Road for a distance of approximately 105m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th July 2024 for 39 days, or where stated on a valid permit (7P0100N023962-1RC-CF-EUL – Gas Transportation Company). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new connection works are undertaken by Gas Transportation Company.

(Layer Road, Abberton) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Layer Road, Abberton in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 830m south east of its junction with Bounstead Hill for a distance of approximately 100m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 24th July 2024 for 3 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EP201EH2363853 – Essex County Council). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while signing works are undertaken by Essex County Council.

An alternative route is available via Layer Road, Mersea Road, Blackheath, Berechurch Hall Road, Layer Road, High Road, Malting Green Road, Abberton Road and vice versa.

The Order came into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is the earlier.

(Plough Road, Great Bentley) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of Plough Road, Great Bentley in the District of Tendring, from its junction with New Cut to its junction with Station Road a distance of approximately 75m. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 12 days, or where stated on a valid permit (MT002DS0054973 – Affinity Water). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new fire main connection works are undertaken by Affinity Water.

An alternative route is available via Plough Road, Thorrington Road, Great Bentley Road, Station Road, Clacton Road, Holly Bush Hill and vice versa (with access only into Plough Road, Coles Brook Road, South Heath Road and Dead Lane).

The Order came into effect on 4th July 2024 and may continue in force for 18 months or until the works have been completed, whichever is earlier.

(Temporary Introduction of 30mph Speed Limit) Order (No.15) 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily introduce a 30mph speed limit on that length of road as specified in the schedule to this notice. The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 4th July 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Description: From its junction with Greenstead Roundabout to its junction with Brightlingsea Road a distance of approximately 1300m

(Various Roads, Colchester) (Temporary Prohibition of Traffic & Temporary Introduction of a Clearway) Order (No.16) 2024

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order:

1. To temporarily close those lengths of road in the City of Colchester as specified in the schedule to this Order.

2. A temporary "No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping" restriction will be introduced on both sides of carriageway in those lengths of road in the schedule for the duration of the works. Signs will be installed indicating when the No Waiting restriction will be in force.

"The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019" will be temporarily amended to include the temporary ‘No Waiting, No Loading and No Stopping’ restriction and suspend any existing parking and waiting restrictions on the above lengths of road only. All other restrictions and exemptions contained in the aforementioned Order and Amendments to that Order shall remain in force.

The works being undertaken will take place within an 18-month period from 4th July 2024, exact dates will be specified on one.network. Access will be maintained for emergency services. Diversion routes will be signed at each location and residents will be informed of the dates of each phase via letter/leaflet drop and advanced warning signs on the road.

Notice is hereby given that the Essex County Council has made the above Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984.

Effect of the order: To temporarily close that length of West End Road, Tiptree in the City of Colchester, from a point approximately 110m south east of its junction with Priory Road for a distance of approximately 70m in a south easterly direction. The closure is scheduled to commence on 22nd July 2024 for 5 days, or where stated on a valid permit (EC3008688284 – UK Power Networks). The scheduled dates may vary for these works with appropriate signs showing and/or displayed on one.network. The closure is required for the safety of the public and workforce while new supply installation works are undertaken by UK Power Networks.

(Colchester City) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping)

and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area)

(Amendment No.57) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given Colchester City Council acting on behalf of the North Essex Parking Partnership in exercise of the delegated powers of the traffic authority Essex County Council granted under an Agreement dated 1st July 2022 proposes to make the above Order under Sections 1(1), 2(1) to (3), 4(1), 4(2), 32, 35,45,46,49 and 53 and Parts III and IV of schedule 9 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984

The effect of the Order:

3. To revoke the No Waiting at Any Time restriction at the junction of St. Nicholas Street and Culver Street East

4. To revoke the Restricted Parking zone No Waiting at Any Time in St. Nicholas Street

5. To revoke the Goods Vehicles Loading Only Mon-Sat 8am-6pm bays at the West end of Culver Street East.

6. To revoke the Restricted Parking Zone No Waiting at Any Time in the junction of Culver Street East and Long Wyre Street.

7. To revoke the Goods Vehicles Loading Only Mon-Sat 8am-6pm bays in St. Nicholas Street.

8. To Introduce a Goods Vehicles Loading Only 7am-10am bay (Restricted Parking/loading zone at all other times) on the South Kerb of Culver Street East, to the West of its junction with St. Nicholas Street.

9. To introduce a Restricted Parking Zone No Waiting at Any Time and No Loading at Any Time in St. Nicholas Street, Culver Street East at its junction and to the west of St. Nicholas Street and the junction of St. Nicholas Street/Culver Street East and Long Wyre Street.

This Order will be incorporated into The Essex County Council (Colchester Borough) (Prohibition of Waiting, Loading and Stopping) and (On-Street Parking Places) (Civil Enforcement Area) Consolidation Order 2019 by replacing tile numbers TL995 250 revision 4 with TL995 250 revision 5
