Fryers Road & Bloxwich Road North - Temporary Road Traffic Restrictions
What is happening?
Notice is hereby given that Walsall Metropolitan Borough Council intends, not less than 7 days from the date of this notice to make an Order, the effect of which will be to prevent any vehicles proceeding in that length of:
• FRYERS ROAD, BLOXWICH that is situated from its junction with Willenhall Lane to a point 80 metres south of its junction with Willenhall Lane. (Monday 22 July 2024 - Sunday 4 August 2024). Reason for Order:
Watermain connection works
Works on behalf of: South Staffordshire Water
• BLOXWICH ROAD NORTH, WILLENHALL that is situated at its junction with Little Lane for a distance of approximately 100 metres in a north easterly direction. (Saturday 27 July 2024 - Sunday 28 July 2024).
Reason for Order: Telecommunications works
Works on behalf of: Hutchison 3G Ltd Revocations:
The Walsall Metropolitan Borough (Knightsbridge, Lucknow Road, Coppice Lane, Willenhall) (Weight Restriction) Order, 1996 and the Walsall Metropolitan Borough (Short Heath, Willenhall) (Prohibition of Heavy Commercial Vehicles) (Consolidation) (No 20) Order, 1989 (insofar as it relates to Pooles Lane) will be temporarily suspended whilst Bloxwich Road North is closed in order to allow diversion routes for vehicles above 7.5 tonnes maximum gross weight to be maintained. This Order will come into operation on Monday 22 July 2024. It is anticipated that the works will be completed as close as possible to the dates above. Signed diversion routes (viewable on the website one. network) will be in operation for affected traffic. The Order will remain in force for a period of up to eighteen months or until the works are completed, whichever is the earlier.
