What is happening?

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (FOOTPATH NO. 601036 IN THE PARISH OF BARROW-IN-FURNESS) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF PEDESTRIANS) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable Westmorland and Furness to carry out walkway repairs ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council has made an Order the effect of which is to prohibit pedestrians from proceeding along an approx. 440m section of Footpath No. 601036 in Barrow-in-Furness between grid reference 318756, 469789 and 318466, 470033.

There is no suitable alternative route available for pedestrians.

The Order will come into operation on 15 July 2024 as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed and may continue in force for a period of up to six months or until the completion of the works, whichever is sooner.
