Kneeton Road - Temporary Prohibition Of Driving To Replace A Transformer Pole
What is happening?
The Nottinghamshire County Council
(Kneeton Road, East Bridgford) (Temporary Prohibition Of Driving) Order 2024 (R24-155)
Notice Is Hereby Given that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at East Bridgford in the Borough of Rushcliffe.
The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road.
a. Kneeton Road, East Bridgford - From a point 600 metres in a North Easterly direction from its junction with Occupation Lane, for a distance of 200 metres.
2. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
3. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
It Is Intended that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 09:00 Hours, Monday 22nd July 2024 Until 16:00 Hours, Thursday 25th July 2024 Daily
And Notice Is Hereby Further Given that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be:
a. Southbound: Bridgford Road - Red Lodge Lane - Fosse Way - A46 Dual B6166 to A6097 S - Fosse Way - Margidunum Link Road - Bypass Road - Kirk Hill - Kneeton Road
b. Northbound: Kneeton Road - A46 Dual From A6097 to B6166 N - Red Lodge Lane - Bridgeford Road
The Order will come into force on Monday 22nd July 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable National Grid to carry out works to replace a transformer pole;
