Riddings Lane, Temporary Traffic Restrictions Due To Utility Works

WESTMORLAND AND FURNESS COUNCIL (RIDDINGS LANE, GLEASTON) (TEMPORARY TRAFFIC REGULATION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that to enable utility works to be carried out ("the Works"), Westmorland and Furness Council intends to make an Order the effect of which is to prohibit any vehicle from proceeding along that section of Riddings Lane, Gleaston, from a point approx. 100 m south east of its junction with Main Street, extending in a south easterly direction for approx. 110 m.

A way for pedestrians and dismounted cyclists will be maintained at all times and a suitable alternative route for vehicles will be signed and available via the unrestricted section of Riddings Lane, Coast Road (A5087), C5032, Mill Lane and Piel View.

The Order will come into operation on 29th July 2024 and may continue in force for a maximum duration of eighteen months. However, please note that it is anticipated that the restriction will only be required for 3 days and only as and when the appropriate traffic signs are displayed.
