Spring Lane, Lambley - Temporary Prohibition of Driving to Carry Out Road Resurfacing Works
What is happening?
THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (SPRING LANE, LAMBLEY) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF DRIVING) ORDER 2024 (G24-095)
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council intends not less than seven days from the date of this Notice to make an Order, under Section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, as amended, in respect of roads at Lambley in the Borough of Gedling The effects of the Order will be:
1. Vehicles are prohibited from proceeding in the following length of road:
a. Spring Lane, Lambley - From its junction with Catfoot Lane in a southerly direction for a distance of 1300 metres
2. Vehicles are prohibited from Waiting, Loading and Unloading (both sides) (at all times) in the following length of road
a. Spring Lane, Lambley - From its junction with Catfoot Lane in a southerly direction for a distance of 1300 metres
3. All existing permanent restrictions will be temporarily suspended as required.
4. The restrictions specified above shall only be in effect when the signs are in place.
IT IS INTENDED that the prohibitions respecting the above road or roads will apply as follows: From 20:00 hours Monday 22nd July 2024 Until 06:00 hours Saturday 3rd July 2024 inclusive.
AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction the alternative route available will be: Spring Lane - B684 Mapperley Plains - A6211 Colliery Way -A612 Nottingham Road - A6097 Epperstone bypass - Lambley Road and vice versa
The Order will come into force on 22nd July 2024 and any prohibition in it shall apply on that day and any subsequent day when necessary to enable works to be carried out. The Order shall continue in force until the works are completed (within a maximum period of 18 months).
The prohibition is required to enable Via East Midlands on behalf of Nottinghamshire County Council to carry out road resurfacing works
