(Temporary Prohibition Of Use By Vehicles) Order 2024

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Bristol in pursuance of the provisions of section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 as amended have made an Order the effect of which is to close, temporarily, to vehicles the lengths of roads as specified in

Schedule 1 to this Notice.

Exemption will be provided in the Order for vehicles requiring necessary access to premises situated on the closed lengths. The Order was required because works are being or are proposed to be executed on or near the roads and becomes operative from 15th July 2024 for a maximum period of eighteen months.

However, the closures may not be implemented for the whole of the period, but only as necessitated by the works (which are anticipated to take place between the dates specified in Schedule 2 to this Notice).

Schedule 1 - Temporary Prohibition of Use by Vehicles

1. Alma Road - from Pembroke Road to Whiteladies Road
2. Leigh Road - from Alma Road to Oakfield Road
3. Whatley Road - from St. John’s Road to Whiteladies Road

Schedule 2 - Durations

1. between 15th July 2024 and 13th September 2024
2. between 2nd September 2024 and 11th October 2024
3. between 15th July 2024 and 23rd August 2024

Schedule 3 - Alternative Routes

1. Pembroke Road, Hanbury Road, Oakfield Road, Whiteladies Road and vice versa
2. Hanbury Road, Oakfield Road and vice versa
3. St. John’s Road, Chantry Road, Whiteladies Road and vice versa
