Bingham Bridleway No.22 - Temporary Prohibition to Enable Appproved Development

What is happening?

TEMPORARY CLOSURE OF BRIDLEWAY THE NOTTINGHAMSHIRE COUNTY COUNCIL (BINGHAM BRIDLEWAY NO.22) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION) ORDER 2024

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that the Nottinghamshire County Council has made an Order, under Section 14 of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984, the effect of which will be: -

No person shall:-

(a) proceed on foot,

(b) cause any pedal cycle to proceed,

(c) cause any horse to proceed and

(d) cause any animal to proceed, in the following length of bridleway at Bingham in the Borough of Rushcliffe :- Bingham Bridleway No.22 at its northern end alongside Buggings Cottage.

IT IS INTENDED that the prohibition will apply as follows:- From 15th July 2024 to 14th January 2025 inclusive.

AND NOTICE IS HEREBY FURTHER GIVEN that during the period of restriction there is no direct alternative route.

The prohibition shall apply to enable works to be carried out and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the bridleway.

It may also apply on subsequent days when it shall be necessary. If the works are not completed within 6 months, the Order may be extended.

The prohibition is required to enable appproved development alongside the Bridleway, and in respect of the likelihood of danger to the public and damage to the path.

THIS CLOSURE WILL ONLY TAKE EFFECT WHEN SIGNS INDICATING CLOSURE ARE DISPLAYED THIS NOTICE IS DATED THIS 12TH DAY OF JULY 2024.
