What is happening?

Manchester City Council proposes to make following the CITY OF MANCHESTER (DOWNLEY DRIVE AREA, ANCOATS AND BESWICK) (PROHIBITION OF WATING/LOADING AND AMENDMENT) ORDER 2024 under the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984. The effect of the proposed Order is as follows:

No Waiting At Any Time: Downley Drive: both sides from its junction with Woodward Street in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 10 m, the north-west side from its junction with Woodward Place in a north-easterly direction for 5 m, the south-east side from a point 40 m north west of its junction with Woodward street in a north-westerly and then north-easterly direction to its cul-de-sac end, the southeast side from a point 40 m north west of its junction with Woodward street in a north-westerly and then south-westerly direction to its junction with Woodward Place,

Kingham Drive: both sides from its junction with Woodward Street in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 10m.

St Vincent Street: the north-west side from a point 34m north-east of its junction with Navigation Street in a northerly and then south-easterly direction up to and including its cul-de-sac end, the south-east side from its junction with Woodward Place for a distance of 10m in a south-westerly direction, the southeast side from its junction with Woodward Place in a northeasterly direction up to and including the southern kerbline of the access road at its northern extent.

Woodward Place: the north-east side from its junction with St Vincent Street in a south-easterly direction to its junction with Woodward Street, the south-west side from its junction with Woodward Street in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 10m, the southwest side from its junction with St Vincent Street in a southeasterly direction for a distance of 5m.

Woodward Street: the north-west side from a point 10m south-west of its junction with Kingham Drive in a north-easterly direction to a point 10m north-east of its junction with Danesdale Drive, the north-west side from a point 10m south-west of its junction with Downley Drive in a north-easterly direction to a point 10m north east of its junction with Downley Drive, the north-west side from a point 10m south-west of its junction with Woodward Place in a north-easterly direction to a point 10 m north-east of its junction with Woodward Place.

No Loading at Any Time: Downley Drive: both sides from its junction with Woodward Street in a north-westerly direction for a distance of 10 m, both sides from its junction with Woodward Place in a north-easterly direction for a distance of 5 m.

Kingham Drive: both sides from its junction with Woodward Street in a north-westerly direction for 10 m.

St Vincent Street: the north-west side from a point 34 m north-east of its junction with Navigation Street in a northerly and then south-easterly direction up to and including its cul-de-sac end, the south-east side from a point 10 m south-west of its junction with Woodward Place in a north-easterly direction to a point 10 m north-east of its junction with Woodward Place the south-east side from a point 64 m north-east of its junction with Woodward Place in a northeasterly direction up to and including the southern kerbline of the access road at its northern extent.

Woodward Place: both sides from its junction with Woodward Street in a north-westerly direction for 10m, both sides from its junction with St Vincent Street for a distance of 5m in a south-easterly direction, the north-east side from a point 5 m north-west of its junction with Downley Drive in a southeasterly direction to a point 5 m south-east of its junction with Downley Drive.

Woodward Street: the north-west side from a point 10m south-west of its junction with Kingham Drive in a north-easterly direction to a point 10m north-east of its junction with Danesdale Drive, the north-west side from a point 10 m south-west of its junction with Downley Drive in a north-easterly direction to a point 10 m north-east of its junction with Downley Drive, the north-west side from a point 10m south-west of its junction with Woodward Place in a northeasterly direction to a point 10m north-east of its junction with Woodward Place.

A copy of the proposed Order together with a statement of reasons and plans showing the proposals may be inspected by appointment at Customer Service Centre Ground Floor, Town Hall Extension, M60 2LA (for Sat. Nav. use M2 5DB) between hours of 9am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday.
