A406 Charlie Brown’s Roundabout, South Woodford - Temporary Road Closure due to Bridge Inspection Works

THE A406 GLA ROAD (CHARLIE BROWN’S ROUNDABOUT, LONDON BOROUGH OF REDBRIDGE) (TEMPORARY PROHIBITION OF TRAFFIC) ORDER 2024
- Transport for London hereby gives notice that it has made the above named Traffic Order under section 14(1) of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 for the purpose specified in paragraph 2. The effect of the Order is summarised in paragraph 3.
- The purpose of the Order is to enable bridge inspection works to take place at A406 Charlie Brown’s Roundabout.
- The effect of the Order will be to prohibit any vehicle from entering, exiting or proceeding on A406 Charlie Brown’s Roundabout between its junctions with the A406 on-slip road Southend Road connecting to the westbound carriageway of North Circular Road and the A406 off-slip road Southend Road connecting to the eastbound carriageway of North Circular Road. The Order will be effective at certain times between 15th July 2024 and 17th July 2024 each night 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM (ceasing at 5:00 AM on 17th July 2024) or when the works have been completed whichever is the sooner. The prohibition will apply only during such times and to such extent as shall from time to time be indicated by traffic signs.
- The prohibitions will not apply in respect of: (1) any vehicle being used for the purposes of those works or for fire brigade, ambulance or police purposes; (2) anything done with the permission or at the direction of a police constable in uniform or a person authorised by Transport for London.
- At such times as the prohibition is in force an alternative route will be indicated by traffic signs via A406 on-slip road Southend Road, A406 North Circular Road, unnamed A406 off-slip road, Waterworks Corner Roundabout, unnamed A406 on-slip road (eastbound) and A406 Southend Road to normal route of travel.
